I am not leaving Disco. I know that disappoints some, but that's life.

I am however going to be gone for a bit. I try to make a spiritual retreat every year and this time I will be in a Benedictine Monastery where I will be completely out of contact with the world. I will be leaving Monday morning (Feb 20) and returning Friday (Feb 24) I should be checking in sometime Friday night.

I know some of you may be sending messages to the Junker Congress soon and expecting a response from me. I'm not ignoring anyone. I do appreciate all of you who understand my need to do this.

A good reason to go away.

You need a Spiritual Retreat being here for to long.

See you when you get back.

Not to sound funny about it, but your comment reminds me of my SCA days.

One of the people in our Shire had as his SCA character that he was a monk in an abbey.

In real life, he was ... a monk ... in an abbey Maybe almost a priest - he was pretty high up in the Catholic Archdiocese, but on the administration side of things. Talk about being able to wear the correct costumes, having the coolest jewelry, and (in what I regard as the greatest waste of all) having all the girls around him (since he was 'safe')...

I can actually relate to that. No, I'm not a monk, but I get it.

Have fun! That seems like a really atypical trip, but a pretty neat one. I personally think a nunnery has more potential, but that's just me. :P

Anyway, I'll make sure to oil your Salvager while you're gone so it doesn't get rustier.

Y'know, I can almost find the same peace and solace...
... by closing Skype.

Will see you in a few days then.

Wide awake in a world that sleeps, enduring thoughts, enduring scenes. The knowledge of what is yet to come.
From a time when all seems lost, from a dead man to a world, without restraint, unafraid and free.
