I would like to inform you on the status quo of Operation Sparkling Red.

Sparkling Red is the code for the operation that will filter Hessian diamonds into legal markets. Therefore the IMG will establish a small, legal mining operation for diamonds. The small amount of diamonds produced by it will be mixed with the lrger one that we buy from your Hessian sources. I don't have to go into details about the advantages that legalized diamonds have over illegal when it comes to market value.

So, the initial stages of Operation Sparkling Red have already been taken. A prospecting party went to Omega 11 and located an area of diamond bearing asteroids. The endeavour was done to test the suitability of IMG mining equipment in diamond mining. However, Omega 11 has proven to be a very hostile system. Radiation damaged the Arrastra class miners badly, the Annapurna handled the averse conditions better. It still remains problematic, also because of the DHC claim and their close ties to the Rheinlanders. We both know how they are.

So the second stage will be to check Omega 15 for the suitability for setting up this coverup mining operation. With the recent developments, we feel comfortable to ignore any resource claim on O15. Once the prospection of Omega 15 has been completed, which should happen today, I think we are ready to proceed to the stage when the IMG can start handling limited quantities of Hessian diamonds without a grave risk.
