Recruit Robert "Bobby" Hanson

Well, I am a bit unsure on the need to write in a journal, but something stuck in my mind when I met that vet on the Manhattan Spaceport. "Always keep a journal, son. You'll forget who you are other wise". I sure hope that doesn't happen to me... I start basic training tomorrow, I'm a little bit nervous. It could be a breeze, or it could be one hell of a ride. I'm picking up my ship tonight, I'm told it's nothing special, but holds enough to teach you the basics. I sure hope I can make the cut, I wouldn't mind being on-board one of those large capital class vessels, even as a gunner! What a thrill that would be. Ah well, time for a shower, and I guess I'll write back in here tomorrow night... Man this is awkward.....

Recruit Robert "Bobby" Hanson

My word, what a hell bent 4 days that was. The classes were boring me to death, and some of the other recruits are right dicks. One guy, I am sure he will test my temper. Hopefully in training I can beat him into submission. I finally got permission to start training in space and went to Virginia to meet the Admiral and other esteemed officers for some real time combat training, when we happened across a hostile ship. It looked nothing like I had seen before, very aggressive in shape. Sable or something model it was. The Admiral gave him a good fight, but a lowly pirate showed up in one of those Kusari scouts. I was ordered to engage him and so I did and managed to ram his ship into pieces. I can't believe I was thrown in the deep end and came out on top! I'll be sure to make rank soon. This Executioner is not all it's cracked up to be...
