Thrusting away clarification

Ok, it seems that many people(mostly Corsair) think that it is ok to leave fight to 5-6k after they lose
shields, and then return when they get fully back up. I talked to Hoodlum about it in game and he told
me that this is re-engeagement, since it is considered shield running, it dosent matter how you left, if
you left you are out.

After you lose shields and go well beyond weapons range you dont come back when you feel like it.
You don't come back at all.

This is mostly for OPG bomber pilots i have fought for the last 3 days, who always leave to about 6k or
7k when i shoot down their shields.

You should look up to Globalplayer, his bomber never leaves weapons range.

Also OPG, next time one of you does this i will report it, then you can tell the admins that it isn't
re-engeaging, and that you know rules better then them, because you "argued on forums about it".

I just wanted to tell this to all players, not only OPG.

I'm somehow divided on this.... since BS has weapons with 3.5k range.... and you should not take your BC/BS out alone... which you do every day. If you had at least one LF escort.. it would make no sense for them to do it.. since it would wear them down.

But it would be nice to get a line at say 4 or 5k. But how many shots does it take to down the lvl 10 shield? 1 or 2? That's not like a Gunboat doing the same...

Yea, but if they are constantly running, returning only to fire Novas, how is anyone supposed to kill em, even after an 30min fight?

Nova's have 2k range... all your guns have that too.... I believe that medium sized BS can dodge Supernova shots from 2k.

Also who says that BS should kill bombers? Isn't that what gunboats/fighters are for?

Anyway when I fight BS I dodge at 1k-2k range... no sweat dodging there.. and it's all nicely within range.

Tic, what we 'discussed' in game was not for you to come here and make a 'trial by forums' out of it. It was
for your use if you needed to include a sanction report.
Now if in future your Bounty Hunter Battlecruiser gets a pasting by the Corsairs, you either make a report
if you feel there has been an infraction of the rules, or you keep it to yourself ... You do not use me as an
excuse to bleat on the forums ... Thank you.

i would see that matter as a tatical retreat
getting hit -going safe to recover - then strike again
it hapens alot in RL warfare

I didn't think that as excuse, but i just tried to explain something since everyone thinks that this is allowed.
Didnt want to make it a "trial by forums", just to make people realise its re-engeaging when they do that.

Also, if i report everyone who does it there would be 5-10 sanction reports a day, and i dont want to make
things harder for admins, you have enough work as it is. Its better to prevent then to cure.
