I am seeing dozens of Corsair political threads, communications, a massive in game and forum presence.

You guys are supposed to be right behind them, but I have seen maybe like...4 political or communication threads from them recently, and very few of them are ever roaming around in game (I am not counting the mission grinding squad that is always in Alpha).

So yeah what will it take, an event, some kind of change, what?

You have a base in Gallia now, expand smuggling operations out there, contact the Brigands... and Rousillion can be something to take interest in as well, a habitable planet so close to Omicron Alpha?

The Reapers of Sirius recently left the Outcasts properly, and they were the entire cause of the loss of the Hessian alliance... re-open negotiations with the Hessians now that the trouble makers are completely out of the way?

Put more investment into the Sigma systems, put pressure on the Corsairs again...

I do not know there seems to be so much potential but I see almost nothing happening.

Best way to improve a groups activity is to go make a ship and do just that. Lead... and you -will- be followed.

I am out of character spots on all my accounts, but I have some ships I can retire.

Hmm, I wonder how the Outcasts would be welcomed in Bretonia these days. They are neutral, I wonder if they could land on lawful bases there, or be accepted as forces to oppose the Gallic invasion and fight along side the BAF.

OC ships had a massive nerf in .86, when compared to .85, if that helps answer your question.

I want to get off Mr. Igiss' wild ride.

My question was how to increase their presence, not what caused the decline.

That's not the problem. The problem is that the OCs have a lack of active players and allies. Almost everyone is hostile to outcasts. Entire gallia is hostile to the outcasts, it's pretty hard to do some stuff there under this circumstances.

Quote:You have a base in Gallia now, expand smuggling operations out there, contact the Brigands...

We tried this. Brigands didn't really seem to be interested in diplomatic relations with the outcasts. And it's pretty hard to establish a smuggling business there if everyone is hostile.
Yes, we can sell Cardi at some places in Gallia, for a (crummy) profit. But how to do this inRP? Just smuggling Cardi there would be oorp, 'cause everyone doesn't really like outcasts and cardamine. We have no market there; and with everyone against us there wont be a market.

Quote:and Rousillion can be something to take interest in as well, a habitable planet so close to Omicron Alpha?

Rousillion is not really close to outcast space.

Oh geez.. Where to start. Welp.

Honestly, It's our lack of players and amount of inactive players sitting idle in our factions. I have 16 members. Only a few of us are active. Used to be that I'd get a good 5-6 of us making our way to New York with a nice butt-load of cardi. Now It's.. meh. And I believe that 101st and 13th have even fewer members with only a couple being active. Why? Well, our ships did get nerfed. I mean, those two groups are meant for fighting. Heck, even XTF doesn't log as much 'cause the ships don't do anything. And even if say 5 101st did log, what do they do? They obviously can't escort anyone. They can't go to Gallia. They can't go to the Corsairs.

Why can't they escort anyone? There's no one to escort.

Why can't they go to Gallia? There's no one there and even if they were there our guys would just get shot at by everyone. No point. No profit. Gallia is completely and incredibly irrelevant to us. Even if there is a base there. In fact, what does the base even do? What's it for? Nothing, really. Why would we sell cardi there? No one would buy it.

Why can't they go to sairland? Well, they could I suppose. But there is, again, no reason. No profit. Not even enough players to be successful. Though that brings me to another point. Our indies are gone. This may seem like a good thing. But, honestly, I don't think it is. It gave a lot of us something to do.. someone to talk to, someone to teach, heck even someone to shoot at when they go rogue. Now they're just not there 'cause of the nerf as well as the fact that there's nothing for them to do besides attack Gamma. (Though keep in mind, I obviously don't calculate statistics of indies now compared to before and what they did then and what they do now).

I'm just gonna snip bits of your post and put um as separate quotes here. Even though i already quoted the main thing.

Quote:You have a base in Gallia now, expand smuggling operations out there, contact the Brigands... and Rousillion can be something to take interest in as well, a habitable planet so close to Omicron Alpha?
Like I said, our base has no interest to us. It's a pointless thing. Also the brigands don't like us. No one in Gallia likes us. Why should we go to Gallia when we can't even keep up the cardi flow here in Sirius? And populate a planet? With what population?

Quote:So yeah what will it take, an event, some kind of change, what?
An event? No. Like always, the 101st will be the only ones able to attend. And once it's over everyone who logged will go back to being inactive save three or four. A change would be nice. I'm not exactly sure what, though. The devs could possibly implement what comes becomes of our research in-rp. Example would be dealings with cardimine like finally being able to use it as a lethal weapon, or us not having to rely on it.. Anything like that. Though, It's my understanding that the council will be talking more closely with the devs in regards to the lore of 4.87. So that will be nice.

Quote:The Reapers of Sirius recently left the Outcasts properly, and they were the entire cause of the loss of the Hessian alliance... re-open negotiations with the Hessians now that the trouble makers are completely out of the way?
Doubtful. The hessians are actively hurting our cardimine trade in Liberty and pissing off the rogues.

Quote:Put more investment into the Sigma systems, put pressure on the Corsairs again...
Out main concern should be cardimine. So, why? And with what forces?

Quote:I do not know there seems to be so much potential but I see almost nothing happening.
I assure you there ARE things happening. It's just.. very.. very.. slow.

I missed a couple things but my mind is actually kind of elsewhere..

Were your Brigand dealings with the LE... or Les Brigands de Tartuffe, Reverend Del's Brigand flight?

They will be willing to do anything that will make them money, and they are investing in the Cardamine trade.

And it just sounds like the Outcasts are not in the mood to fight people really, seeing as they are now focusing more on the Cardamine trade and less on the Corsair war from what I hear here. That likely scares away indies.

I'll say it again fellas. You're over-complicating it honestly.

Don't talk about it... DO IT. (that is if you actually want it to happen)

We've got plenty of active leaders and good role models. Thing is, there's no one to follow them.

Not welcomed. We've tried it, and our guys were shot down and harassed constantly. Though with our new dealings with the BIS, MAYBE we could do something.

This.

Give us better ships, better sale points and profit with cardi, a reason to be in Gallia, a reason to fight Corsairs or basically anyone else, or a way to incorporate our In-RP forum things like research and development on cardimine.
