There seems to be misconceptions of my intentions so I'd like to clear it up formally.
Did I expect my actions to be considered treason? Certainly not, but I accept the punishment that would come from such. If my crimes are punishable then I really expect no mercy.
The situation I'm refering to is the recent purchase of Schlangenbiss, a Rhineland Bomber I've intended to pilot since youth. My father, whom I've had to research through countless scraps of broken data logs disappeared into the Borderworlds and was never seen again. From what I gathered he was part of a Rhineland fleet that attempted to venture into the Omegas but never returned. I'm not on a mission to rescue him because even with great hope for the situation I've come to peace with the fact that hes probably dead. This is'nt a matter of revenge either because I would'nt even know who to point a finger at and label the guilty party. Its a matter of solace and bringing closure to this for my family and further more myself. Knowing I did what he really wished I would do and follow in his footsteps, would mean a lot to me.
So in haste I saw my oppurtunity and aquired the nessicary funding to purchase the craft, but I was informed by officials it was'nt registered in thier databases as being confirmed through superiors. I respect of course, the attitude that military equipment is inventoried and allotted to worthy pilots for protection and security of our nation. If something of this power were to fall into enemy hands we would be at thier mercy through our own creation.
However, I didn't throw total disreguard aside and intend to create the situation that has developed. To be completly honest I read through the Alpha Coms and was under the assumption that Fighter class models were permissable to most civilans willing to undergo the training to fly them, wheras larger gunboats and capital ships were incredibly exclusive. There was also a lot of questioning of my identification not matching the crafts purpose, even though the current Trader restrictions allow pilots to operate Fighter class ships. I do understand the questioning of the situation, however there is a paradox created where one can purchase the craft without the proper ID, while perfoming missions to get the actual , proper ID.
I assure you that by the time this document is in circulation the IFF/ID/Ship will all match. I realize this still might not excuse me from my crimes, but as I told the officers I'm willing to serve this Military to the fullest and had every intentions of doing so. I even spoke to an officer about it who said they were not open to recruitment, so again this is quite a paradox.
On one hand I feel wrong for what I've done and I'm willing to accept any punishment, but I've taken every step to try to do the right thing and would still be punished for that. If its a matter of protocal then I certainly understand, but I was not a child seeking vengeance on civilians with a war machine. I respect this crafts power and wish to continue to study its ins and outs if I'm allowed to do so wether its officially branded military or not.

It would be a shame to see such a willing servant of Rheinland executed for treason. I understand he did not follow conventions, I know them well enough, having aspired to be in the military for the first 15 years of my life, before accursed Daumann tore that hope away. While I do not agree with your methods, nor your strange ignorance to the cancer you protect, I have full confidence in the Rheinland Military's abilities to defend our great house, and to make decisions regarding the matter that are mostly correct. In the event you are prosecuted for treason, should you manage to flee, contact me and a friend of mine will test your loyalty to Rheinland. Should you not prove a spy, we would be happy to include you in the ranks of the Bundschuh- those that truly help Rheinland are always welcome.

I do not know where you heard such a thing, sir, but the ship commonly known as the Snubnose is restricted to officers of the Kriegsmarine, Bureau der Marineintelligence and specially authorized parties under the Vessels Act of 700 AS and the Directorate for the Preservation of the Fatherland of 814 AS, and their sale or reproduciton by non Daumann parties is explicitly forbidden unless the Bureau of Industrial Management, Rheinwehr or Kriegsmarine High Command or the Gottkanzler orders a ship auctioned.

I find the situation quite interesting that as a civilian the standards are not posted in clear vision and supposed to be understood beforehand by anyone born in our lands. The fact the restriction on said vessel is a paragraph long speaks for itself. As I stated I seeked the Alpha coms for information reguarding it but was redirected yet another system of comms that were in jargon unfamilar to my tranlastor. Even Universal Grand Law had nothing on the matter. Perhaps it was encrypted for military purposes, but nonetheless the vessel had a pricetag on it on the docks of a publicly accessable battleship that was not too far off the beaten path. Mind you the weapons were a different matter and I had to secure the right to purchase them along with the ID which is already branded in place as we speak. I guess that matter should have spoke for itself as well, but the roadblocks were few, the information sparse and now that the crime is said and done every officer is flying out of the woodwork to justify its merit and every piece of information possible of course ends up in place sight right in front of my eyes.
Excuse me for my argumentive tone and seemingly lack of respect, however it seems I'm being put into a familar position of being compared to a terrorist from A51 that would flaunt the machines in plain sight of others as thier own when the instigation of this whole matter sparked immediate urgency for myself to clear up. I'm not questioning the system of things but I cannot be expected to understand a system of riddles and treasure maps that lead to more riddles and treasure maps.
Your entrance to your military program on 'offical' levels has been a brick wall. I'm a pilot and thats what I wish to do. As you can see by our highjacked link, the intrest is elsewhere, but not fighting for our lands is fighting for no cause other than bloodshed and would go against this whole matter totally. Our enemies have chosen to overlook protocal for loyalty. I ask not that you do the same even.
So this is a vessel reserved for officers of a trained brigade? That makes incredible sense now. To show my willingness to comply I will dock the craft and myself at Battleship Westfallen. I have taken the liberty of placing myself in the brig and await superiors to have a more formal chat.

This is a clarification on my stature. You have the authority and right to dimiss my information as 'subject to change', however being punished in this matter I feel I at least should have the right to get to the bottom of the matter since its being treated as a 'mistake' by a shipyard employee, when in fact I don't think anyone is to blame here aside from miscommunication itself.
I've finally deciphered some of the code useing SPJ30-66 encryption. Excuse me if hacking your system is a viable offense, but I seek justification in a swift manner. Your information avaible on the Alpha coms is buried under layers of obscurity. Probably for security reasons themselves, but you have left willing soliders such as myself in the dark. Obviously I want to be aware of my crimes so I'm not on trial for things I didn't commit, but I will accept punishment for anything I have done thats proved a legitmate cause. I've retrived this from a Rules thread embedded deep in public cyberspace:
Rule #4: Ship Class Restrictions in Rheinland
- All Battleship class vessels other then official [RM] tagged ships are BANNED from Rheinland, unless with permission from an Admiral, other then that there are no exceptions.
- All Cruiser class vessels are to keep a 10k distance from any Rheinland based Planet.
- Gunboats, Bombers, and Figthers have permission to stay within Rheinland based planet orbits, but are to move if asked.
As you can see Rule #4 clearly introduces the assumption based on Battleship usage. The introduction of Gunboats into the argument was not correct and you are right there. My vessel choice was not a Cruiser nor would it probably ever be. I'm a bomber pilot plain and simple. Gunboats, Bombers, and Fighters have permission to stay in orbit... I'm assuming this means properly tagged vessels so I'm not going to try to twist that one in my favor.
Rule #5: Independent Military are Restricted!
- No pilot other then [RM] official are to enforce our laws.
- All Rheinland Ship and IDed pilots are to give a full background on how they acquired their ships. (And we don't buy bogus stories)
- [RM] have command over any independent pilot, Military or not. We don't care for what class vessel you're flying.
First of the term "Restricted", means to have restrictions placed upon it, not the impossiblity of being unattainable which is futher proved in later rules. It goes into detail about said restrictions, but I was not operating outside of these boundaries that were so ill placed.
At no point was I operating as a military personel in attempt to enforce laws other than my mission objectives. At every chance possible aside from the lack of initiating contact beforehand, I gave a full background, which belive me is quite legitimate as census and security records should show. At no point did I deny Rhineland Military's orders, nor would I ever. I think the very last line speaks for itself and while I could yet again twist that one in my favor... I won't be a fool. Perhaps your secretary's choice of words failed you there.

This is exactly what the Schlangenbiss looks like aside from the Hornviper turrets I've placed on the craft to test thier viablity against fighter class enemies. I myself am now registered with a military ID, the ship is branded with Military IFF under which Rule #5 I fall under your command with these rules in motion. In all of these rules however, the only indication that this vessel was "restricted" was Rule #5 in the military charter, and as I said its very loosly worded. No points in the details discuss punishments and details of said 'crimes' for having such vessel.
So the situation again is riddled with misconceptions for both you and myself. The matter of credit value we are talking here is less than 15 million credits. You need to ask yourself what kind of ally you could by for that. A bounty hunters fickle service, or someone willing to go the distance I already have, but I refuse to be placed in leauge with some type of terrorist.
