An Order designed shuttle craft comes into view of the Holiday estate escorted by two Onuris class fighters, the shuttle craft bearing the words "Science Division" in bright letters on its side. As the shuttle nears it begins to land as it's two escorts fly off back towards the Alexandria. Touching down on the landing pad the side door of the shuttle opens revealing 4 scientists in casual, but business appropriate, clothing. The red-haired women in the group began to speak to the others, signalling her out as the leader, while awaiting to be greeted.
She dressed in her finest Kimono direct from her home world of Honshu, red with flowers, black trim and a yellow rope belt around her waist. Her hair and make-up were that of a professional. It was the first time that she would be the spot light in a meeting at her own home which was something she wasn't used to.
The Estate was largely hers besides a couple of staff and security as her husband had taken the three children to another part of the Estate to give her privacy with her guest.
The bar was set up for whatever her guests would like and some simple hors'deuvers were available. She was a bit nervous but calm. Satisfied the house was prepared, she went out the front door to meet her guests who would be escorted by a security detail. This garden would be but a taste of what her guests would get to see elsewhere around the estate.
The group was greeted by Midori as they approached in tradition Kusari fashion with a bow.
"Konnichiwa," she said smiling, "welcome to Tombstone," as she motioned around her.
Each of the women were given a box, each containing an authentic, folded Kimono. Men in the group would be given fine chocolate.

Thank you for your generosity
Jennifer bows while accepting the gift Oops, I nearly forgot to introduce myself, I'm Doctor Jennifer Ferrante, and this is Doctors Chiba Tsukasa, Kaori Igarashi, and Samuel Carter.
And you must be Midori, 'Doc' told me many things about you.
Chiba looks over Midori's outfit
You are from Honshu too?, it's great to run into another Kusarian that wasn't raised on some disgusting farm world!
she takes a glance over to Kaori
Enough you two...sorry for that, they do that often. Shall we get started then?
Midori replied to Chiba, "I was raised on Honshu in fishing village. I grow gardens much of my life. Anyway."
She then explained each part of the gardens surrounding Tombstone. Near where they stood was a small monument with a picture surrounded by chrysanthemums and banzai trees, "this is memorial to my brother, Kentaro. He loved Banzai." She left it at that, not wanting to bring up talk of the old war between Kusari and Bretonia.
The grounds had gardens everywhere. Some where devoted to flowers, some vegetables, some fruiting trees and some to things native to Canaria. All were growing well and it was more like a plantation in some places as vast as it was.
"Is there anything in particular that interest you, Doctor Ferrante?" she asked, not wanting to wander aimlessly. "There much to see and much to discuss. I be honored to show how I do a lot of this."
For the moment, they stood in a spot where traditional style vegetables were growing. Tomatoes, cucumbers, leeks and a host of other things. Over there head was a large chestnut tree. Yes, there was much more to see and they were at the perfect spot to mull over "where next?"

The four looked around the estate, all eying the sents , shapes, and colors that caught their interests, until Jennifer looked back over to Midori, as if realizing she had lost her concentration and had it snapped back into position. Overwatch tasked us to find crops that can be mass produced to lesson if not eliminate the need to ship in supplies, and when found develop the crop to have optimal growing on the relatively chilly atmosphere oh Akabat.
I know it's a large order and I hate to push so much responsibility on you, though 'Doc' has assured me you're the one for the job.
Dr. Igarashi raises her hand up, gesturing that she would like to add something to what Dr. Ferrante just said. We aren't really looking for cold weather crops as must as we are looking for ones that will feed a small planet, I'm the lead botanist on the Alexandria and my team and I, with help of everyone else, should be able to adapt it to Akabats climate within a few generations of the initial seeds. Thank you Kaori, now where shall we get started Mrs. Holliday?
"Ah yes," answered Midori, "I have several ideas that will help." To ease the travel between parcels of land, all of which were quite large, an Estate truck arrived to give the group transport. They were taken to a field that was designated for year round crops. They would park in the center of it on an access road. Once out, Midori explained it. "This field is potatoes, sweet potatoes, onion and carrots. All do well with little work." She then motioned far from them, "we also have similar field for turnips and radishes. Now I know you not discussing cold weather food growing but what I talk about does well in cold."
After they looked about the many crops, some of which were recently planted, she continued, "far from here we have been working on some sugar cane. We try because it can be processed into many things to include fossil fuel."
She then addressed Dr. Ferrante directly, "Doctor, you will find that what I showing you can be adapted to your world and will easily support a strong population base if properly cared for. There are others that will do well in your climate AND feed a population that I have not shown you but you know of quite well. Broccoli, chives for seasoning, their are many. I keep seeds for most of it."
