The draw for the group stage was held in Monaco on 30 August 2012. The 32 teams were allocated into four pots based on their 2012 UEFA club coefficients, with the title holders, Chelsea, being placed in Pot 1 automatically. They were drawn into eight groups of four, with the restriction that teams from the same association cannot be drawn against each other.

Regarding the draw, I'd say, Manchester City can forget about reaching 1/8, once again in these 2 years =]
Roberto Manchini is too weak as coach for winning this trophy. Way too "careful", if you want.

I am Chelsea fan myself (no I'm not a gloryhunter).
