The Ravon Talon, a viable Xeno ship?

So last night I was flying with two independent Xenos through the sweet skies of Liberty. They inquired if the Raven Talon was a vessel permitted for Xeno use, to which I answered with an affirmative.

So I thought I would ask you, the hive mind, if you echoed the sentiments.

Qualifier One: The vessel is sold on the 'black market' being the keyword that many seize upon to make the vessel one of the more iconic ship for persons of dubious motive.

Qualifier Two: The infamous "It's sold on a Zoner base", which while not making the vessel available to all per say, does grant landing rights to walk up and check the upholstery to everyone.

Qualifier Three: It's produced and initially sold by the IMG, a faction with whom the Xenos hold 'neutral' status as per FLstat and vanilla info cards. One of four factions with whom the Xenos share a neutral accord as a matter of fact.

Those three qualifiers hold true to the Eagle or any other vessel currently manned by the Xenos and can be done so without being contested for their ownership.

I abstained from a poll as I wished to actually receive commentary as opposed to lackadaisical point and click, so feel free to have at it.

Quote:IR-7 "Raven's Talon" Very Heavy Fighter

Raven's Talon was designed by Independent Miners Guild for commercial purposes. Excellent speed, extended power capacity, and well-known quality standards of IMG made this ship popular on black market. Raven's Talon is one of the best very heavy fighters available for pirates and mercenaries - and surely most expensive.

P.S. For academic purposes presume to note that the Xeno's lack of fundage is what disqualifies us from using vessels above a certain weight class. We lack access to SHF, gunships and so on, yet -can- afford fighters of quality make for our 'elite' pilots.

I only wonder why one wouldn't want to fly the Eagle to fly the Raven's Brick.

EDIT: Sorry. As for the answer, on my part, I can't see why not. I mean, anything that's gone into the civilian market can't be restricted much.

Haha, I have no idea myself. Possibly because people wanna get away from vanilla vulnerability.

I'm not really a huge fan of the Raven Talon myself, it's not my cup of tea.

This is more of an academic question so as to not send any other pilots asking for a bit of advice on the road to sanction ville than a question on what ship people prefer to fly.

Well, rest assured that people will enquire, "What? Where did a Xeno find money to buy that ship?" and the sort. Like you'd go about it when you're about to get shot in the face. But anyway...

Was it you, Dusty, that we (Mandals) fought yesterday?

Yes, but according to some other bits of info off newsboards in-game... Junkers control the Sirius black market in every house except kusari, and the hogosha run it there.

Xenos are hostile to both.

What prevents me, John Doe, from buying a ship and re-selling it?

I'd say yes....

Xenos being sneaky terrorists they are would have no trouble circumventing any Junker shenanigans and getting their hands on one.

I'm in favor of allowing it. At the very least, it would provide a viable alternative to the Eagle, for those who want it.
