Hello, I've seen some players who don't follow the rules only because they can't speak english. Last exemple is a german player who had a cilivian ID with level 52. It was hard for me to explain him he had to change his ID.
So I purpose to translate rules. In my case, I'm french so i can translate all rules into french (besser than google:)) if you want.
good idea or not ?
Rules will be the exactly the same (we always have to speak english on system chat and on this forum), its just a translation to allow non-english poeple to take knowledge of rules !
but how can someone roleplay on roleplay server when he can not speak english ? i never learn english in school, i know that my english is bad:) but i am trying to learn. and when i can, then all can it.
I know that someone who can't speak english, can't RP correctly. But as you said, english is not known well by everyone and all rules have to be understood by all players. (and its easier if rules are in your native language)
And how can you explain I've seen a german player who can't speak english and have a cruiser ! (expensive isn't it ?) So it's possible to play enough to have a lot of money without speaking a lot for RP. (a pirate will say only "2M or die !", a policeman/bounty hunter in front of a unlawfull "I'll kill you !")
I purpose a complete translation for free, if admins are interested, I'll work on it.
It has been discussed before with the admins and it was refused. The point is that one who can't communicate in the official language of the server won't be able to handle the role playing involved in "playing" here. The problem isn't them coming up with simple enough RP they can muster in simple enough situations, it's them ignoring other people's sound RP because they can't really wrap their heads around what's going on.
Fair, cool? Well, it says "Official Server Language: English".
I'd try and dig the thread to point it here, but I'm not much of an archaeologist myself.

3.3 All messages in chat must be in understandable English, unless the chat is private and both members know the language being used.
That may be the most brilliant thing I have heard in a while. So simple, yet so effective, how have we missed it for so long. Lets start a list, you know a language, translate rule 3.3. Seriously, this would probably help so much.
