Well, I gave it some thought, and realized that this would be an RP-correct policy to be adopted by the LPI:

No attacking Liberty Rogues, Hackers, Outcasts, or any other pirate group unless they are committing a crime or are being hunted for committing a crime. Xenos, however, are to be arrested on sight for terrorist acts.

Why? Because today, even if you're in a gang, the cops don't just arrest you for being part of the gang, you get arrested for doing a crime. Sure they watch you closer, but that's about it. To help with this, I'm going to talk with the leaders of the LSF and SA to instate a new law, in which disrupting lanes with the intent of piracy is a crime, punishable by a 500,000 credit fine and immediate removal from the lanes in question.

Also, a note to everyone say "lolwut?", the LPI-Det. tagged characters are Detectives, and as such may fly any Civilian (Eagle, Stinger, Griffin, Arrow) or Bounty Hunter (Hammerhead, Manta, Sea Serpent) ships, as well as the Liberator. Why? Because in real life, detectives don't drive marked Crown Vics, they drive regular cars.

That is all, post comments if you have them.

I LIKE!

Beats being killed on sight by lawfuls all day. It's in character, is a brave move etc...

Now, we should see the unlawfuls reciprocate this policy. Something like, "only kill lawfuls after RP banter ":).

I like, now I can taunt Pirates with donuts instead of just shooting them.:P

Xenos are a known terrorist group, and the Outcasts and most Lane Hackers are usually drugged up on cardamine. So... do we scan them for cardamine traces, realize "onoz they're drugged up," place them under arrest, and then get into the inevitable shooting match because every last Outcast that gets sent to the Sugarland dies from withdrawal?

>.>

Plus, I remember rumors about the LPI arresting people for everything under the sun, just so they can get more workers in the factories. I think I have that rumor sc'd somewhere, actually.

I'll still follow this until you say otherwise, though.

lolwut.

No, seriously... I think it's fine. The BPA already handles it this way, we always ask criminals to leave and only engage them if they refuse to comply or violate the law.

No problems with you guys flying civilian ships either, though BHG ships are a bit strange...

But the Raven, sitting lonely on that placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered; not a feather then he fluttered--
Till I scarcely more than muttered, "Other friends have flown before--
On the morrow he will leave me, as my Hopes have flown before."

Then the bird said, "Nevermore."

Yeah, BHG may look a tad strange... civilian is fine.

The new policy is a good thing, yes, as is the entire process of the LPI becoming (at least somewhat) serious.

BHG ships usually follow the individual roleplay, for example the detective director is an ex-bounty hunter.

On warning them to leave, that seems better than KoS'ing them, although my point about vanilla LPI arresting people for nothing remains...

In bretonia, we act the same way with Mollies. And everyone, really, except for the guys we're at war with, and the Gaians. But, the idea is that people in bretonia are granted rights and citezenship, and unless they act outside of the queen's peace, they're fine...
I would say the Xenos are a problem with you...They're terrorists..and...well, its not like being in a gang...so much as it is like being enemy combatants...and now I need to go cut off my hands...cause that was sooo against my politics...

Yes, the Bounty Hunter ships do follow individual role play, and as yet I fly the only Manta. However, it's there because the ships are way more mainstream, and easy to get a hold of. And yes, the Xenos may be moved to 'shoot on sight', but not right now.
