Freighters

I need a freighter. It could be civilian or liberty.
The ID will be Freelancer. Or Bounty hunter. As the character develops.

BUT...

The Wiki information is a little off.
I just checked dromedary in game...cargo is 200 or so, Wiki says 500ish +.

So help me out, as I am old and playing this version approximately two days.

Decent-ish cargo for armour or loot or both; must be able to handle a fight; a minor power drain for certain weapons I can live with. A CD would be nice too. I hear tell of a freighter that can load a Mini Razor. And mines. Loads of mines. I know these ships got a nice speed boost.

I was thinking new anki, maybe grizzly (would be most suited flavour-wise).

Also, where. And don't tell me Go Discover. I have two million made from missions. Trade aint my thang.

edit: Um, the dromedary has 650 cargo, just checked it. Infocard is off.

I think its the X shuttle that can mount a MR but legends tell of a camara with a CAU8 and purple goddess turrets that eats fighters for breakfast.

Anki is a personal favourite but the civilian shuttle is also pretty sweet, its all down to you you won't find a great deal of difference between them.

I have tried turret view and zoom and can hardly believe that everyone isnt using this while flying gunships... OR ARE THEY?

Anki has a good loadout, 3 class 10 slots and 4 class 1 turrets.

Dromedary has a broken info card? Well nuts...I might need to upgrade.

Whats the gun slots on her like?

He is looking for a ship to buy for himself I think, not from another player.
And the Dromedary has 3 class 8s and the turrets are all class 2 if I remember. And her info card is bugged, it can hold a lot more cargo and it has a lot more hull points.

The Grizzly is not bad but it is not the best cargo hauler, but it can escape a little better. I am partial to the Anki for looks, there are not many good looking freighters unfortunately.

The Camara is the best freighter for actually hauling stuff. Tiny little ship, very hard to hit, and has almost as much cargo as the Dromedary. Not much good for fighting without a CD, although its okay for defense with enough armor on it. X-Shuttle is the only one with a torpedo slot. Anki is good for exploration and deep-space trading..

The Camara can be quite deadly, but doesn't have a CD unfortunately.
The X-Shuttle can mount an MR, and has plenty of weapons to boot.
Every freighter other than the CSV can mount a mine dropper.
For pure cargo capacity, the Dromedary is the largest at 650 units.

Up to you for your choice.

EDIT: Oh my days I was rather ninja'd there, should have taken less than half an hour to type that post.

Dromadary for fighting. I find it slightly easier to dodge flying a Drom then an Anki. But the power core is weaker.

The new model on the civilian freighter has a slender profile from the front and top.

If size doesn't bother you and you'd prefer raw power try Anki with some nice codies or a full hullbuster Bactrian.
