Alright,

I confess..... I just love Ladas!

I'm looking for one, and in NZ they are as rare as rocking horse shiznicks.

So, contemplating looking overseas for one. Now I know you eastern Europeans just can't get rid of them fast enough! I've seen enough Russian road rage clips on youtube to know you don't lack them.

So can anyone suggest prices of them in your countries?

Ta muchly.

Somehow I think this violates forum rules, aside it is really really classy (sarcasm if you didnt notice) and lastly, why the hell is this is general discussion?

Zelot you brown nose,

"General Discussion
Free forum for any sensible non-gaming topics. "

I asked the community a question. So what? Go back and bother someone else.

And anything 2105, 2106 or 2107. Sedan, preferably.

The first car I've ever driven, I ended up barrel rolling one in a ditch when I was 13 and I still have my broken nose to brag with. I know for a fact that there are plenty UK based Lada's (1300s 1500s and Nivas) with right-hand side steering wheel and all which should be ok for you, prices, well anywhere from 50 quid to 2000 quid, the shipping I have no idea, a container from the US to Eastern Europe is something like $1500, I don't have any information on how much is it to NZ. In Europe the Lada doesn't exactly pass the ecology road test with fly flying colours so the tax is slightly higher. Also in Bulgaria there are plenty old bangers for minuscule amount of money, the condition of the most isn't great however. Hope this helps.

That said, I've been trying to find myself a Volga in a good condition. Despite that I pretty much live in Volga-land it's hard as hell to find one that hasn't rusted. I plan to lower it and blink up the chrome because I love the looks of it. And preferably swap the engine as it requires its own petrol well and processing plant.

I had figured shipping costs were going to be at least 5 x the purchase price of said car. But, the fun I can have would all be worth it.

So a mere few bucks for one hmmm.....
