I was not just only involved I'm in fact part of it.
First: That was an anmazing masterpiece of organization by Synts who even sacrifies his job respective real live for it.
And for trusting me in giving me the codes for the jumpships. It was a hard job but it was also fun!
Of course it was a great teamwork by all the Corsair players and all the supporting players - a big thanks from my side.
And also it was an outstunning siege with a lot of good battles/fights by all the opposing players and of course the defending ones.
Again my respect and thanks to all the players involved.
Some may have noticed a little anger by me but that was and sadly is still the frustration about some private things.
Anyway I'm here to enjoy the game and play along with my fellow players.
But the more you go ooc the more you die.
My critics are but:
Sadly there was no good RP regarding the power trading.
Trading in the last leg was completely ooc - mind my Junker hauler while all [X] were banned from Bret?
We switched power/metagaming between traders/fighters - and me even reengaged... (I'm sorry for that!)
And sadly there was no real roleplay regarding story and such about the station - just for the records.
I would say that it was a very decent step to irply group and tag the Corsair smugglers with [X], so that the opposing players had a chance to catch them via ingame action (FR5) and make the supply runs more difficult. It is realistic that it would take a little to be found out that they are a smuggler ring... so it is perfectly fine for Bretonia and other factions to strikt against the smuggler ring.
So I would not say that this step was anywhere oorp. I don't know about the rest, though.

I must admit, this reads as an index of the very worst elements related to player bases. Especially the self-admission of rule breaking and metagaming. Still, it served as the perfect distraction to get Talbot started...

I'll need to agree on this.
The reason for the metagaming to get illegal bases supplied is just that it would take just too long to get the goods from an IRP base.
But to not do it OoRP you can use Junker ID's or Freelancer ID's, can't stand people using Bowex/IC/Gateway etc. ID's to supply Bases built illegaly in a House.
My view on that particular stuff.
“This font is good people said, this font is awesome others said, I say it works well enough to waste 2 seconds of your life reading this.”
Hmns,
sadly I do have to agree with Jammi from what I read here...
Though I've seen the same stuff happening during the Sprague siege , With only exception that sprague was in fact backed by a story, so no one's holy here.
A good question to raise is , what is the reason for this Cambridge base?
What do the Corsairs wish to achieve with it ?

no rp lolbases that spring up at a moments notice inside hostile territory.
i just wish that all bases would explode
Wake up, man. It is like always with Disco stuff. Lolwuts were and lolwuts will be. So there are lolbases and trollbases, but there are also bases with lot of RP around and made with lot of effort using good old 5k transports and trade lanes. Don´t throw all the bases in one bag, please.
The biggest problem with this base is the lack of purpose. You could block O5 hole at least.
The biggest problem about bases in general is that all kind of people are allowed to build them at any rate.
It could be just simpler to keep bases for officials only- so they wont be so dead and useless-with one stone 2 birds.
