Part III: The pseudo-Hispanic Encounter, Omega-47 [Sector D7]

1. Primary Objective

As part of the alternative approach suggested by the Spezialoperationsabteilung science division, use the prototype "Zielfernrohr" scanner to triangulate any possible alternate routes into Wilde space, and investigate any possible new routes spotted after the scan.

2. Details

With Flammenwerfer disabled in the second phase of Operation Fernglas, RHA Oberkommando commissions Flammenwerfer's sister ship, the [RHA]SOA-Sturmgewehr, to act as the temporary flagship of the operation until Flammenwerfer is repaired and fully functional again.

After the failed scouting mission into Das Wilde territory, SOA operatives are sent out to neighboring systems by suggestion of Spezialoperationsabteilung science division to find any possible new routes into Wilde space, taking advantage of the formation of new jumpholes. As part of the trio of scout teams sent to systems of Omega-5, Omega-41 and Omega-47, the o47 scout team detects a yet uncharted jump hole leading to the unknown system of Cayman, and is ordered to inspect the newly established system but is ambushed by an [RoS] patrol soon after entering the system. They are forced to retreat back to Omega-47 after realizing the Fantaland will make their eyes bleed before they're even half-way through the fight to use the known geography to their own advantage.

3. Outcome

No predefined outcome for the event, just to jazz things up a bit. What's for sure, however, is RHA finding out about the new Reapers establishment within the Omegas but postponing any further investigations until the final outcome of Operation: Fernglas is revealed.

The proposed time and date so far is 2 Dec 2012, 20:00 SMT, which is subject to change if the majority feel more comfortable with another time and date or if either side votes for a change of date. So, in case you want to join the event but feel another time would suit you better, include it in your post.
