Richtofen station was Kruger gas mining facility in Sigma-13 during 80-years war, Battle for Richtofen and probably following it Battle of Yanagi were the final acts of "Eighty". Station's loss meant Rheinland and Kruger lost the war. Original freelancer devs put wreck in the game, but gave us only 3 scant rumors about it.

"that's cool, but what is purpose of that topic?"

To show wreck and concerning it storyline to people who don't know what's that installation in S-13, and remind others.

Good job. Knew about the station however didn't seen some rumors. "Old Kruger containers" have robotics inside if my memory is right.

The Kassel looks like it's not only Kassel. Either it was made of two cruisers bent together, or she had another cruiser with her. Because the second is much more plausible, do we know the name of the other cruiser?

This reminded me how much I adore exploring wrecks and other old things. Gonna make a wreck explorer char.

There are quite a few neat wreck sites in the game. Some are in locations rarely visited however, and aren't appreciated as much as they could be.

There is also a well hidden Rheinland Capital fleet wreckage in a system that is rarely visited by anyone.

Oh lord. Not Omega 15? I hate Angel's systems... They're full of inconsistencies, silly ideas and bad design.

Looks like Richofen was another of those ideas that DA had then dropped at the last minute, leaving evidence in the game. They seem to have done a lot of that.

I'm confused here, because rumor informs us about only one cruiser, looks like original developers put one engine part too much, or it can be explained this was heavy cruiser, rheinland cruiser on steroids with 2 engines? That could look interesting.

Well, in that whole S-13 cleaning for .87 devs could leave at least Kassel and Richtofen wreck... I spoke with few persons and it's not only me who has feeling current, vanilla Sigma-13, is a proper battlefield graveyard, and nicely developed system. It's like vanilla - even if there are deficiencies, it's still awesome.
