RP or not RP?

OK what is up with RP in NY?
The junker guard ship was passing through NY visiting our bases, and such. When a liberty rogue/hacker/outcast, and {M} tried to pirate my cruiser which had no cargo to mention.
How is it RP to shoot an ally like that? Especially when said group's land on our base all the time?

PLS everyone your 2 cred's worth here. I need to know since i alway's thought junker's were neutral to friendly with all 3 of these faction's.
I am just soooo confused these day's.

Secondly, you shot them. Did you expect to not get killed after trying to blow up 20 million credits worth of Rogue hardware? Of course, you couldn't join them in pirating, but you could join their group for fun.

BH getting shot by navy, well if the BH does something illegal, they are to be treated as any other crim. Rogue/outcast/hacker should be EXTREMELY wary of ever getting hostile with junkers.

Junkers are the main distributer of illegal substances in the houses, and as such a bit of a lifeline to the criminal factions. And junkers should be sh*t scared of the crims as well. Can you imagine what would happen if the OC's brought down hell on the junkers? It would be horrific. So generally they should lay off each other and just exhange pleasentries.

They need each other business... Therefore neither group should go causing trouble, all you're doing is shooting yourself in the foot.

Junkers maintain nuetrality on terms of business. We do the dirty work for the major criminal houses (outcasts/corsairs, we smuggle their contraband in core systems), we provide them goods from the black market, and we allow them to dock for repair/rearming at our bases, free of interference from lawfuls.

Exactly what i thought.
over a yeah with the junker guard RYOKEN, and first time i have ever been targeted by any of those faction's. Hell i have fought along side all at 1 time or other against the BH's.
And only reason i fired on rogues is he continuously disrupted me and the tradelane, demanding i pay him money,and cargo i did not have, and even rammed me twice(whether on purpose or not cannot say).
Then the outcast/rogue/hacker/{M} all fired and killed me. I am not angry as i had nothing to loose on ship anyway, but was sooo confused as to why any would pirate or fire on a faction they need.

If you consider them your allies you could have donated to their cause.
If you consider them neutrals you should accept these facts
I hope to god you don't plan to consider them hostile now.
But yes, that about sums it up. You're not immune.
Just today, I have received a nice not so fat 15mil donation from 2 corsair traders and one junker who were trading trough omegas. Is it bad to tax our own? yes ofcourse.
Is it bad to remind them that the route is safe because of the fighters? Not at all.
So basically.. wait, why did you post this?

I really don't understand why any criminal in their right mind would attack a junker, with the exception of the Farmers Alliance and Hogosha. All the others make good use of their services.

I assume you mean the AFA? They're OK, because they are allied to the Hogosha instead.

EDIT: Oh, and I think you mentioned something about the Order in NY? That's alright, as long as they have some reason behind it, like a recon mission. The Order can go pretty much anywhere they want, they just need some RP backing for it.

The Bold sounds like Indie behaviour to me. Next time someone does that, tell him in a private message to check the forums. Forums > ID > Rep sheet > Vanila FL.

Then because you fired on a rogue the outcast/rogue/hacker attacked YOU because they saw you attack an ally.

Always try to get people to check out the rules and Faction statuses on the forums. If you try to defend verbally ingame it often ends up "PWNT YOUSS." "NOOEEESSS" "YOU TEH SUCK!" "EAT MY CLAN FIRE." Just mention that they don't know the RolePlay diplomacy and "it would be a good Idea for them to check with i.e. Bounty Hunters Headquarters and they will see that a Junker is Neutral."
