I wonder why, in the name of the ten moons, everyone with user stations limits the use of them. Why not let enyone trade on them that isn't hostile?

I’m sure there must be something I’m missing here, because all the ones I’ve seen limits access.Angry

People dont like if others play with their toys, I dont think that there are any other answers for this kind of behaviour.

Generally speaking, it's fairly risky to give people access who you don't know or trust. There are various exploits that people can use to wreck your supplies if you're not careful.

Most bases also try to make money out of selling docking permits, which in turn can give access to ore reserves or other valuable stuff. Sometimes the owners want to keep the stuff they're stocking private for their own group/faction.

Plenty of reasons. Anything that's sold on a station has to be put there by another player after all - for the station owners, that's not very profitable.

Security. (see Jammi's post)
Also: House Laws. Open it to all and you have unlawfuls... you have someone complain "My enemies dock there!!!" and then you have BS shooting your base or fines in the hundred millions.

Can't the base owners controll the prices?

I was more thinking about bringing goods into the base that the base needs or to make some items available - at profit.

Apparently owner does not want random rabble that might bring trouble. Either due to laws or security of base itself

If you want to dock, contact base administrator.

Allowing someone’s enemy to dock does not give them the right to attack your base – I think that RP should look into that. It should be a crime to attack a base without a good reason.

Josey, if something is in my range, it allows my enemies to dock and is destructable - it dies.

Same to any other place in Sirius.

Well if you haven't found any bases that don't fully restrict docking, you haven't looked hard enough. Our base in alberta is open to all who are on decent terms with DSE, we're currently selling ore if your interested Wink

Long Island in NY seems to be open to those with good standing with Navy to and I believe they are accepting goods for construction. Another is the GMG base in Okinawa whose name I forget. They always have H-3 for sale and when it's not full to capacity are accepting H-3.

So there you have it, 3 bases open to majority of lawful forces and are open for trade. (Naturally Platinum Inc is best, come visit us hehe).

The way I see it: if someone enters a restaurant that you don’t like you can’t just blow up the restaurant – see?? One can get into trouble doing such an unsocial thing.
