Opinion on LSF's job *Faction wise*

Before I start, this is by no means a flame or picking on the =LSF= faction by any means, I am asking an honest question. Here goes.

As far as I am aware, the Liberty Security Force or LSF as a faction, are an intelligence branch of the Liberty peace keepers, like an anti-terrorist division.

This is the LSF faction infocard:
Quote:Liberty Security Force

ALLIES:
LPI, Liberty Navy, Liberty Corporations

ENEMIES:
Liberty Rogues, Outcasts, Corsairs, Red Hessians, Unioners, Xenos

The Liberty Security Force (LSF) is the intelligence branch of the Liberty Armed Forces, operating in secrecy to ensure the free flow of goods and services in the Liberty economy.

I would like to stress the operating in secrecy section on that infocard. This branch should be operating in a base somewhere and watching the long range sensors and guarding Zone 21 and Alaska like its their baby children. No argument on that front.

Despite this I have seen them acting like policemen and women, or somewhere in the ranks of the Liberty Navy, and chatting to the public. Casually.

Lets look at it this way, the FBI are sorta in a way like the LSF, protect the peace, but only when the serious stuff happens. i.e terrorism or assassination attempts. They don't do grunt work like catching drug dealers or take tanks to blow up some bunker, which the army does.

The LSF seem to be doing the job of the LPI and the Navy. While I respect their tolerance for such annoying work, its not their job.

If I was in the LSF I'd fly around not talking to anyone unless its my fellow officers or superiors, thats how it should be RP wise I believe. Not to mention stare at Alaska beacons and Zone 21 channel.

LSF should somehow, operate silently and swiftly, not yell on the comms, halt or die sorta thing on smugglers or a Liberty Rogue and co. Thats the LPI's job right? Patrolling gates and lanes is both LPI and LN's job too.

The LSF are like spies, ear to the ground and guarding high security areas within Liberty.

Basically, are the LSF players following the LSF faction branch's job? I never LSF NPC's, why? Secrecy.

Discuss.

Yeah, it should be something along the lines of: "Wow, this must be really high level stuff. They even called in the LSF!"

Still, there are times when the Navy or police just isn't around , and the LSF is forced to fill in.

High level stuff like Destoyers or gunboats I can understand, and endorse.

If the Police and Navy are not around, I guess its logical that the LSF would fill the holes.

KNF, back me up here, what was I up to tonight? (Hoi, none of that! >.>)

Sometimes I get an asskicking for not asking before I go on an op..*cough*

The problem with being 'proper' LSF is: No-one else (as in, when we wander in, the foriegners are like WTF?) wants us around that much, and we're usually needed in the Liberty core.

*grabs a fire extinguisher from the other thread I used it in*

NO FLAMES! Or you'll get it in the face! And it won't be the powder...mwahaha.

This thread is destined to go up like the Ivy Mike shot, by which I mean a 10.4 megaton Hydrogen bomb, for those of you not in the demolitions business. The LSF does the best they can wit the situation they have; if they RPed it purist they'd end up like the Phantoms anyways, and that might cause some problems.

I guessed it would start no matter what, but I don't want any flames of any kind.

*puts on a flame retardant suit*

Please don't encourage it too.

*cough* I wont say anything beyond that I've been saying this for a while. Oh well... At least they got rid of their cruisers and dreadnoughts.

Anyways. They should... Go... Spy on Rheinland? Or camp Alaska... One of the two. RP-wise, thats just about it since it says Fairbanks is their brainchild in addition to Alaska and whatnot. Plus they're secret Asian men. Or... Agent.

Wait... I said something beyond. Aaanyways. So thats that.

It is a good point, but I think this topic would be better placed and cause less flames were it in the faction feedback section, as it is in fack legitiamate faction feedback.

Guys... instead of saying how the thread WILL end up, how about you risk destryoing the space/time continuum and post some feedback?

Like for example: LSF r awesome:D
