could we remove the CD slot from cruisers on up?

This could help prevent lone battleships going after fighters.

just a thought. dont throw tomatoes. anything else is fair game.

For general nerfing of capships: no, if anything some of them need improvements.

For removal of the CD on cruisers and up: depends. A lot of situations call for those cruise disruptors to be used. I know that I get plenty of use out of my destroyer's CD when I'm having to stop smugglers from moving through omicron 100 / minor.

hm, alone bs again fighters. fighter always can turn to oposite direction on thruster, (and time for bs to shoot on fighter on 199 speed, flying oposite direction is very short) and until bs turn around, the fighter is far far away. cd on cruisers and above is good for stop other cap ships.
or( and i personaly dont like this) police cap ships can stop smugglers with them.
without them can smuggler only laught to captain of that cap ships .

Haven't voted yet I'm undecided at the minute may vote later my first thought is reinforced cruise disrupters are not that good anyway and anything else is likely to get blown off every battle.

I'll watch the replys and see which side I come down on.

while a CD slot on cruisers and bigger don t serve a really great purpose in terms of preventing a fighter from running, i don t think warships can take much more nerfing. - they needs to be buffed up in certain areas so you get something for your money.

i expect some rebalancing ideas to come live with the next update anyway - warships are simply pathetic right now, laughable - i was easily able to strip the shields of a corsair cruiser today as a single bomber with like 6 titans ( npcs ) on my tail - that doesn t feel right. - and the cruiser couldn t fire a CD on me anyway, cause he would have hit and turned hte NPCs around then.

so, when its only hte CD slot, it doesn t matter much - but more general nerfing, no, please.

...the Cruise Disruptor is the only way in which a Battleship can possibly hope to survive an attack by three bombers unless the pilot happens to be Jesus and possibly Glyph (DAMN he's a good shot with that Razor).

I wouldn't strip away the Cruise Disrupter, just in case their enemies want to flee quickly or their thrusters were ripped off.

As Jinx said, capital ships are pathetic in terms of return value and firepower. You spend all that time saving up for one, only to end up paying hue bills and avoiding asteroid fields if at all possible.

Make capital ships more powerful I say. Their meant to instill fear. I remember in vanilla SP when I say an enemy battleship, I soiled myself in my Barracuda. Right now in bombers, "Oh another scrap heap".

*Throws daggers*

No.
Why?

Scenario :

Happy captain : Pompadom, oh! Whats that! Three 7331killzors capital ships comming after me? Oh no! Release the awsomeness missile!

Three 7331killzors : Oh noes! Iets be da awsomeness missile! Run!

*Three 7331killzors run*

Happy captain: Fire CD! Jahar!

*Three 7331killzors stop and get shot. &

Happy captain: Huzzah!

Whitness it every time i get ingame. There's allways some pack of capital prostitutes roaming around looking for easy kills, and run when they see trouble. Just to teachm some manners, and possibly stop them from ruining the little one's who give their bests days, id say keep the CD.

Ofcourse, this is just one of many examples.

Voted NO, if this is the only point, to stop them from going after fighters then no. Rearly there's a case when you can't run away from a cap ship in a fighter, you simply thrust away and your speed advantage helps you do the rest, slowly dodging away to a nearby asteroid field/jh/station anything that gives you cover and you're set.
