Game server is [NOT] up

After a great deal of mucking around, the server has returned to normal operation. It seems that the fault was a software one rather than hardware. It might break again, we're not really sure. If it does break, we'll fix it.

Everything appears to be okay at the moment and we will monitor it more closely than usual.
