So I got a hold of the Logitech F710 Wireless Gamepad. Everything works fine and even with a little tweaking of the in game settings I managed to get everything how I wanted. There is one minor exception, I notice that the left stick functions more like the d-pad rather than an analog stick.

Here's a scenario. I'm playing this flight simulator and for the right stick I have it set for the Yaw and throttle. I set it so the further I push the stick the more effect it has on the command. like pressure sensitivity. For instance the craft will "turn' more aggressively when I push the stick to the far right or left and less aggressively when I ease on the stick. Now I have the left stick responsible for my rolling and pitch. But I can't seem to get the same effect on this stick no matter what. Even when I'm in the options the graph that shows the activity of the axis is to either extremes, up or down, no middle or medium. I see less opitions when dealing with the roll and pitch as opposed to yaw and throttle, perhaps it may be just a limitation on the game's part, as I can't seem to find anything on it regarding that.

Halp Plz.

EDIT: I'm almost positive it's something to do with the controller. Not only will the same axis when set on a different function (like yaw or throttle) behave the same the up, down, left, and right commands can be inputted as buttons, where as the right cannot be assigned any specific button functions like the triggers and all the other buttons.

I don't think you can set up different severity to how hard your vessel turns if you're not using a mouse. Unless you set the right analog to BE your mouse.

The "Pitch Up/Down/Left/Right" commands in this game mainly are used for steering, and make the vessel turn in that direction at full speed/power.

Why would you use a controller with Freelancer anyways? It's specially designed for a mouse and keyboard.

That's like using a basketball to play football...

Imagine if they used Baseballs for American Football or Rugby!

Veygaar and Sterlin: He's not trying to use it for Freelancer. He quite specifically says he is "playing this flight simulator and for the right stick I have it set for the Yaw and throttle" in his post.

-

Which flight simulator or game are you attempting to use it in? That'd help a lot.

EDIT: And have you checked if this issue shows up in other games yet?

War thunder. The sensitivity seems to be compensated for or at least emulated to some degree on the right stick but not the left. When I get home I'm going to try and see of this sensitivity is present for the other controls. I think it would be seeing as I explained earlier, lists as buttons when I push left right etc on the left stick, whereas not on the right stick.
