Hello. I am here to ask for help.

Recently my yahoo page went weird. The fonts are displayed as bold and bulky. I tried repairing the fonts, extracting the originals from the CD, but nothing worked.

Please help me to fix this problem. I don't want to re-install XP because i have a lot of work related stuff on my pc and it would take forever to recover.

Screen is provided. Please look at the upper right corner. The same problem happened to me before, but it fixed itself. Right now it just won't go away.

Thanks in advance,
Max.

try holding CTRL+Scroll Down once. Maybe it's a zoom-problem. Or try using Mozilla.

It does not help. I really hope that someone would advise me on what to do. I wonder where Mikki is, the tech dude from Australia, i think.

Had something similar. Played around with performance options and it was fixed.

Could you tell me what is it I need to turn on, turn off? Right now my system is configured to have minimum eye candy, as in no shadows, no this, no that. I tried enabling clear type font, did not help. I am seeing the same problem in EI 8.

thanks.

i just looked at the options, there is nothing to tweak except to smooth the edges of the screen fonts, i tried that and i did not help.

The ones you mentioned, unfortunately. Seemed to fix it for me. Sorry, that's all I can think of.

Firefox works fine, the Chrome and IE8 does not. I need to understand the source of the problem? Where are my settings, or what not, are incorrect? I am kicking my head on the stone wall right now.

Well, I only use Firefox, but if IE and Chrome are anything like Firefox, then they probably have a text/font option in browser options. For Firefox it's found in Tools>Options>Content tab, try playing around with settings there?
