I see Rheinland has no Battlecruiser at the moment. I have a proposal for a new model.
Unfortunately i dont have the necessary materials to create such a model and also nobody wants to tell me how i can create models for Freelancer. So i'm forced to forget the project, as anything I've started. Maybe somebody is interested to create it.
Here is it, the "Megalodon". The drawing is for you developers:
You can see only one tower pedestal, but the original model should have two tower pedestals like the normal Rheinland Cruiser. I removed one because i want to make the underlying region visible.
I wish I could even build the ship. but I do not know how i can import them into freelancer and what I still have to do. Hard Point and such things. A tutorial would be nice.

The Rheinland ship line is considered to be "full". There is a sufficient quantity of good-quality ships available to fly. Replacing or adding new ships is not on the list of priorities.
Modelling efforts need to be directed towards replacements for existing poorer-quality ships to have any chance of being accepted into the mod.
As far as tutorials are concerned; go searching for them. There are a few (not many) tutorials in the developers' subforum; there are many more important freelancer-related tutorials on The Starport. General modelling tutorials are probably out there - you just have to go looking for them.
sorry, but this is not rheinland design. And 1 column?? is this joke? and face of the ship = face of ship from CF mod and body from carrier = nothing new.

Erm, but as he said, it's ready. I.e. fully modelled and basically operational, or it isn't so? It's not like they're offering to add a completely new ship type - it's just a battlecruiser. And from what I remember about gun hardpoints and their arcs, definitely not the OP one.

I was explaining why Railgun's Rheinland Battlecruiser is not being included, not contradicting his statement.

What the hell is CF mod?!? I take "the face" from my walker model and changed it a little bit.
Quote:body from carrier = nothing new
It don't need to be 100% new. That is the typical Rheinland style. Otherwise it would not match to the other Rheinland ships.

IF YOU WOULD READ MY TEXT UNDER THE DRAWING, YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TO ASK THIS UNNECESSARY QUESTION!
"You can see only one tower pedestal, but the original model should have two tower pedestals like the normal Rheinland Cruiser. I removed one because i want to make the underlying region visible. "
Not a bad model. While Rheinland doesn't need a battlecruiser (it's own cruiser is already on the heavy end), the model could be resized to fill any role, from lowly freighter to supertransport. The sketch is, obviously, lacking in detail a bit but the overall concept isn't bad.
