Ok in last 2 hour's of play, my trader has passed not 1,not 2 ,not 3, but 9 ship's over level 50 with civi ID's.
Am i wrong here in saying the punishment for that rule need's to be alot more severe?
Most say they just transfered mony to a new char, and are working on the ID.THIS IS WRONG!!!
How do i know? awhile back i lost over 500 mil for doing that. I was told ID before all else. If working on a new char get a trader ID which is good till you get a cap, and if you want a cap you need the ID first. NO ESCUSES ACCEPTED. I have been very nice to point this out to people in a PM in game. Now i am so sick of seeing it, i am screening, and posting everyone without warning, or exception.
there are a lot of people who continue to use it during character 'setup' even though they shouldnt.
I was OORP for a short while on my outcast character - I used the trader ID initially to get out to the omicrons, but then I picked up a bomber (which isnt listed), as that's the ship I was intent on using for the character. Still, I only had the trader ID for maybe 20 minutes before I replaced it with the outcast ID, and I typically refrain from any kind of player contact or pvp until I have my proper tag/ID established.
Fighter/boomber/trade ship's all ok under trader ID. I was told by admin acceptable.Anyone transfering cash to a new ship in NY can get a trader id on manhattin,np there. Anyone transfering enough cash to make a char lvl 50+ in not a noob, and should know the rule's!!!
I see a noob at 41-45 in a trader i have NP with it as they may not have noticed. All other are really starting to get to me. Especially the GB's and up saying i am working on getting the ID. THIS IS WRONG!!! Hoodlum told me,and i quote "get a trader ID, and a fighter. Do some mission's for the ID, Then, and only then Buy the ship."
Easiest rule violation to prove is ID violations. Screenshot the page with ID, don't bother clicking on the ID so you see the ship with it too, then kill scan and show their level. Before you go off and report them, though, PM them and see if they're setting up. Do not ask "// ___ are you setting up?" in system, please. That's almost as bad.
The problem is sale of discovery ID are link to Rep levels with NPC factions, this all right for dedicated ID Zoners etc., but to have this rule for Generic ID Traders etc. means if a new player only trades, its very unlikely that the players NPC Rep between level 1 40 would change, leaving the player New York Manhattan the only place where they could buy an discovery ID.
Allowing generic IDs to be purchased by any player regardless of NPC Rep, would solve this issue.
I like generic IDs being purchasable in more locations and with easier rep. I know of at least one case where someone got screwed because they got handed a pile of cash, but didn't have the rep to buy an ID anywhere. Not very nice, at least it got sorted out kinda sorta.
