:angry:There seems to be an increase in the number of Cruisers taking part in piracy.
Im on about the cruiser which just sits there look menacing:cool: taking down the trade lane[s], or incepting any trader escort vessels.
These types of actions should surely be considered as Pirating with a cruiser and sanctioned as such, regardless if the Cruiser ever fires upon the trader vessel.
I read the sanction tread (I didn't want to post in it). The thing is, you said that you were in-group with the other ships. Regardless of whether you fired or made any comments, you were in group and technically you were involved in the pirating.
I'm not sure if distance plays a factor in Admin's decision, but the best thing to do is not group with ships when they are pirating.

I disagree, if I'm 10+ K away from the piracy, there is no way I can get to that pircay before it's conluded, by the time my cap gets ther, you've decided one way or another if you're going to pay. At that pont the cap is pointless, it cannot fire on the trader and it cannot make another demand for credits or cargo.
People shouldn't be reporting caps for just sitting there, when there's absolutely nothing that capital ship can do, it's not intimidating if it can't do anything. Plus if you know the rules enough to report that kind of behaviour then you already know the cap can't do anything and you're just pushing for a sanction. Unless that cap opens fire on your transport, or issues a demand for credits, lay off the sanction reports give the admins some room to breath.

I wonder if I should make a report with the screenies I have of at least one other player pirating with a cruiser nearby? After all he managed to escape my BH BC.
Along with a pirate with a neutral rep who pirated me once? Oorp!
It seems the way to get even with people now is with screenies instead of discussion and/or guns.
I've only been mad at one cruiser that tried to fire at me. but he took the TL down and shot at me and got sanctioned for it. and then he put a bounty on me, which people ignored.
Well, it's wrong that pirates can't attack traders in cruisers but lawfuls can anyway.
And the rules here are so hit and miss it's funny, in a sad way.
I guess if they pirate at the JH with the cruiser right on the other side of it it's OK, so that's what will happen next, and nothing will really change except a slight tactic.
