Mentally unstable char, (some would say insane...o.O)

So, i decided to make my char "Corren.Falis" go mentally insane. Some of you im sure have heard me screaming "BLOOD" in newyork. I was told it was ooRP to be attacking people for "no reason"...(even though i clearly was calling for "The blood of everyone to be spilled")...with a merc id, and that i couldnt do it because i didnt have a terrorist id. Anyone is subject to just going completely bonkers and deciding to drink blood instead of water lol. If you guys say its to ooRP ill stop, and try to convince the admins to procure me a terrorist id. (which prolly wont happen =P) But what do you think? isnt anyone subject to becoming mentally unsatable and shooting everyone on sight?

Kay, I was the one who told you off. Now, first things first, I never said this was OORP, I actually thought the RP was quite good. Your problem however was it was against server rules. You were, believe it or not, acting like a terrorist. -Yes-, considering yourself insane and running around New York blowing people up at will is consider terrorism, and you can't do it with a Merc ID. Plus, it was kinda bad you doing it in an Orca...

Your point is very valid.

However, if it were as you say, everyone could go mentally insane and it would be anarchy.

For these kinds of things, forum RP is required. If its temporary, then perhaps only a little, or if you're very good at it, none. Thats usually exceptional though, and I would go for the safe rather than sorry option.

I would suggest that you read up on some of the stories where people go "insane". Most of these are Phantom conversion stories but there are quite a few exceptions.

Actually, you'd be quite surprised how many people would go out of their way to come up with some bogus RP just so they could blow up anything they wanted. Now note, I'm not calling your RP bogus or bad or anything, I did say I liked it. But if one starts doing it, then -everyone- will start doing it. And well, I think we can all see how that ones gonna turn out.

As soon as someone becomes certifiably insane, they are involuntary committed for an extremely long and boring psych evaluation by the Sirius wide psychiatric association known by the acronym A.D.M.I.N.

There's really nothing else to discuss about it.

Technically, no forum RP is exactly required, but if you aren't going to do any forum RP, you are going to need a hell of a lot of in-game RP first. And I mean a LOT.

...And besides. My Freelancer is unstable too. Just a teeny tiny fraction. Not enough to be a problem, but enough to be noticeable from time to time. Usually it doesn't show, but when under duress or the like, you might notice SOMETHING odd.

Again, theres nothing wrong with the idea, it is actually quite refreshing and a good idea, just make sure you don't take it too far too early, in this case, killing people. Because RP or not, you aren't allowed to kill random people as a mercenary.

ADD ON: Perhaps we need an Unstable person(s) ID...

ADD ON ADD ON: And yes, I think I could go insane quite well... Maybe some people in game and on the forums think I already have... :crazy:

Lol, well, this char definatly had no prior rp. just jumped in "BLOOD and GUTS" but then again, Prior to my insanity i was a nomad scientist. Am I infected? o.O
