Speed is stuck on max (80 not cruise or thrust).
Pressing S slows down to 0.
Releasing S speeds back up to 80.
Z, the button to kill al thrust and allowing drift does not work.
Scrolling mouse wheel down sets the speed to 0, all effects above are reversed.
Pressing W speeds up to 80.
Releasing W slows back down to 0
Z still does not work.
Observations:
Afterburner, TAB works perfectly.
Cruise also works as intended, (F2, Go To). In this case Z just cancels cruise speed.
Ship is capable of variable speeds, as noticed while docking or moving in formations.
After logging out and back in I've not been able to reproduce this bug.
Butthurt comment:
I lost my first RP fight because of it. :<
(Like if I ever stood a chance anyway. xP)

Yep. Having the Goto or Dock selected without cruise can do this. Having any control "stuck" can do this as well. I had this happen one time when a key I'd bound to roll right got physically stuck due to potato chip interference.

have had it sometimes too. with nothing stuck on a keyboard. But for me it solved by clicking something ingame.. then f2, f3 and then select free flight again. For some strange reason that always fixed it for me.

Do you have a joystick or game pad connected to your computer perhaps? I had this once with an older joystick that had a throttle control, forgot it was connected...
