I tried installing COD4 on my comp and when I tried to start multiplayer it just shows the logo screen on my desktop then it says the program encountered a error. I tried to go into safe mode for SP but then the screen appears then disappears normally but then the game never starts?
Updated my Nvidia GeForce graphic card drivers and reinstalled COD4 and same thing happens still.
Whats my issue?
My comp's easily ready to play the game it is built for gaming.

If you can post the exact error it would help. If it was the exe stopped working error though try plugging something into your mic jack on your computer. I know it sounds goofy but for that error it works.
Oh yeah are you running Vista if so try running as admin.
I don't know much about were I can view my comp specs since I forget what I used for my comp from 5 years ago. Both singleplayer and multiplayer don't work.\

ok I'll try adding my webcam with mic jack in and No I use Windows XP and I am always Admin of my computer.
Its just the normel error message you get when you end process of maybe a internet explorer when it says not responding so it doesn't say anything specific of what kind of error.

I had a similar problem, except single player ran.. Fixed it by updating my sound driver

Read the specs on the box the game came in or at steams website if you bought it through them. your computer specs are way to low to run the game. You need to upgrade.
