Kawada Research Complex was built in 791 A.S., in conjunction with Blood Dragon engineers, primarily to study the Ekitei Pulsar, but also as a secluded location where work on new weapons and ship testing could proceed away from prying eyes. Several weapons have been released for Golden Chrysanthemums to use during recent years, including the development of their advanced Suncannon photon blasters. There are rumoured to be other weapons under development.

The station uses an experimental power generation concept, which captures periodic bursts of energy from the pulsar using large collector dishes (often mistaken for solar panels by passing ships) and releasing this energy gradually into the station's energy grid. While still somewhat unreliable, this has allowed the scientists on the station to conduct research using energy bursts several orders of magnitude bigger then conventional reactors can provide, and reduces the fuel requirements for the conventional fusion reactor.

The Neutron Star found at the East of the Tau-65 system is an X-ray Pulsar, located inside an asteroid belt that is believed to be the remains of a planet that collided with the object. The Kawada Research Complex was placed at the edge of the asteroid belt, built with large collector dishes that are designed to harness the power of the pulsar's massive radiation bursts. The station's heavy shielding also provides a low radiation zone.

Nicknamed "Ekitei" by the Golden Chrysanthemum inhabitants, this Neutron Star has a clearing in the area around it, similar to the Omega-41 Neutron Star and Omega-58 Neutron Star. However, close proximity to this pulsar is suicidal, as the radiation bursts are so intense even heavily armored ships can be obliterated in seconds.

From the Neural Net:
The X-ray Pulsar is officially classfied as X-384 by scientists and interstellar navigation organisations, but most Golden Chrysanthemums simply refer to it by the name Ekitei. Ekitei releases periodic bursts of X-ray radiation, which can last from a fraction of a second up to several minutes between bursts. The pulses also tend to be directional, and any unshielded life forms would instantly die if exposed to an x-ray burst.
Well the Corsair got again the best ship of its class. While all other unlawfuls must use the Pirate Train, because there is no other Train allowed to be used by them and the Border World has got no train, can Corsairs use an better alternative, the Essedarius. The Essedarius is always better than the Pirate one. It is stronger, have more cargo room, has more weapons and even more guns. There is no reason for a Corsair to use another Train. And by the way this Train is a train who CAN FIGHT. It is not a gunboat but it ist stronger as each other Transporter and Train (except of the Salvage Frigate) and can be used at each raid point, because there are always NCP-Trains/Transporters or Player with them, who does not pay your cash, you destroyed and drop a lot of loot you can easly sell for some quick bonus money.

At least this is a good ship and a nice adding for the Corsairs, but it is not fair that only Corsairs has got this alternative.|4.87}}
An old design that has been continuously updated and upgraded, the Surveyor is one of the few ships that still has its roots back in Sol. A large number of these vessels was loaded on each sleeper ship, designed to allow the fledgling colonies to quickly send out scouts, in order to seek out resources that could be used to make the new colonies prosper. Lightly armed and armored, these craft depend more on agility than endurance to perform their jobs.

Typically armed with a limited number of concussion torpedoes, a few light blasters, a small mining laser and sampling equipment, a Surveyor's primary task is to seek out the richest pockets of high grade resources, so the larger mining vessels can come in and harvest them. The torpedoes are generally used to break up larger asteroids, but threatened miners have been known to employ them defensively. Cheap to operate, a number of companies have begun using the Surveyor as an auxiliary mining vessel, using it to speed up existing mining operations without risking more costly assets.
It may be classified as a light fighter, but there is nothing light about this ship. With its expanded power capacity and armor rating the Scimitar has all of the muscle required to survive in the harsh frontier of the Border Worlds and even Edge Worlds. An excellent choice for those craving adventure.
Handling
The Neutron Star of Omega-58 is a Stellar Remnant found at the very core of the system. It was created several years ago, when the Wild built and activated a Nomad Jump Gate in an attempt to connect Omega-58 directly to the Nomads. Upon activation however, an unstable and enormous portal was created, dragging nearly everything into a system now known as Drake. After the Jump gate itself was pulled in, the portal became extremely volatile, causing the Omega-58 star to consume all its fusion material in a matter of seconds and go supernova. The portal finally collapsed, right before sucking a massive dark matter cloud into the system. All that remained after the cataclysm was the newly created Neutron Star, planetary material that hadn't been teleported through and the Dark matter cloud.

Located close to the infamous Omega-41 system, the object here is one of the only 2 Neutron Stars that emits visible radiation, with the other being the Omega-41 Neutron Star. However, Omega-58 is a much more hostile system, with higher radiation levels and low visibility. The Neutron Star itself can only be seen when dangerously close.

Similarly to Omega-41, there is a clearing in the middle of the system near the Neutron Star. Likewise, the area is exceedingly dangerous. Extreme Caution should be taken when in visual range.
The Neutron Star found at the East of the Tau-65 system is an X-ray Pulsar, located inside an asteroid belt that is believed to be the remains of a planet that collided with the Pulsar.

However, close proximity to this celestial body is suicidal, as the radiation bursts from this Pulsar are so intense even heavily armored ships can be obliterated in seconds.

The Neutron Star found at the center of Omega-41 is the most commonly seen one in Sirius, due to the many system connections present. It is one of only 2 known to emit visible radiation, a characteristic it shares with a Neutron Star in a nearby system. It also has a visible ring system, a distinction that only the Puerto Rican Neutron Star also has.

The Neutron Star present was created long before humans discovered Omega-41; When the star at the center of the system went supernova, it shattered all of the planets in the system into a massive asteroid field, and caused the star to collapse into the Stellar Remnant seen today. The left over system is constantly bathed in radiation from the Neutron Star, with only the Planetary Fragments providing protection.

A clearing of debris exists in close proximity to the Neutron Star, however entering this area is not recommended due to the intense radiation and powerful magnetic and gravitational field of the object.
A Neutron Star is a stellar remnant, a super-compressed object left over when stars with a mass between 1.4 and about 3 times the mass of a medium class star exhaust their nuclear fuel and collapse inwards. The result is a condensed sphere of matter about 20 km (12 miles) across, with a gravitational field approximately 2 x 10^11 times stronger than that of a normal terrestrial planet.
Hachiman Ice Field
The Hachiman ice field has long been a source of water for the Golden Chrysanthemums and a number of small mining machines are scattered throughout the ice fields collecting water to bring back to Morioka base, where it is purified into a drinkable form.
Ishijima Asteroid Field
An asteroid field with no appreciable resources, although it has a small measure of scientific interest as it is believed that the field may be the remnants of a large asteroid or small planetoid that got too close to one of the stars and broke up.
Nishiara Asteroid Field
The Nishiara asteroid field is believed to have once been a planet that collided with the X-ray Pulsar at the heart of the field. The asteroids contain reasonable quantities of plutonium, niobium and iron, but due to the extremely high levels of radiation pouring from the X-ray Pulsar it is far too difficult and dangerous for anyone to extract the materials. The heavily shielded Kawada Research Complex lies within the field, and fortunately the area lying in the "shadow" of the base remains largely radiation free, thanks to the shielding provided by the station.

Due to the very intense strength of the bursts, it is highly recommended for all vessels to avoid the Nishiara Asteroid Field at all costs, and numerous wrecks lie within the field as a testament to those who did not heed the warning buoys.
Nebulaes
Takkinai Cloud
The Takkinai Cloud is beautiful mass of multiple inert gases, but despite the visual aesthetics of the cloud it remains a dangerous area to enter. Sensor efficiency is reduced to almost nothing and there are rumours of a dangerous minefield near the centre of the nebula, although what it defends is anyone's guess.
Artificial Formations
Goyomai Debris Field

Omega-58 is a much more hostile system though, with higher radiation levels and low visibility. The Neutron Star itself can only be seen when dangerously close.

Similarly to Omega-41, there is a clearing in the middle of the system near the Neutron Star. Likewise, the area is exceedingly dangerous. Extreme Caution should be taken when in visual range.

::The density of a Neutron Star is so great that the protons and electrons making up the atoms fuse to form electrically neutral neutrons, the primary particles making up the neutron star. Because they are electrically neutral, such particles can be packed very closely together, resulting in a celestial object with similar density to that of the atomic nucleus.

The Neutron Star was created long before humans discovered Omega-41, when the star at the center of the system went supernova, shattering all the planets into a massive asteroid field, and then causing the star to collapse into the Stellar Remnant seen today.

::Some Neutron Stars are known to exist in Sirus, with one located in Puerto Rico, an X-ray Pulsar located in Tau-65, one at the center of Omega-41 and one recently created during the Omega-58 Incident. Civilian vessels not equipped for deep space exploration are advised to use strong caution, as Neutron Stars are extremely radioactive and can cause severe damage to spacecraft.

The Neutron Star found at the center is the most commonly seen one in Sirius due to the many system connections present. It is one of only 2 Neutron Stars to emit visible radiation, a characteristic it shares with a Neutron Star in a nearby system. It also has a visible ring system, a distinction it shares with the Puerto Rican Neutron Star.

Long before humans discovered Omega-41, the star at the center of the system went supernova, shattering all the planets into a massive asteroid field, and then causing the star to collapse into the Stellar Remnant seen today.
{{System
|systemname = Omega-41
|image = Omega-41.jpg
|description = Omega-41 system is an edge world system located at the lower section of Sirius Space. A long time before human arrival in the system, the star at Omega-41's core went Supernova, and collapsed into a Neutron Star (a hyperdense, extremely radioactive remnant). The Supernova would have destroyed any planets within the system, reducing them to the now visible planetary debris field. The high level of harmful particles emitted by the Neutron Star renders the system inhospitable to passers by, and only those with reasons to remain will linger in this shattered system.

The system has no commercial activities, and is not under the influence of any military or police forces. The Zoners founded Freeport 5 in the system, and more recently, with the war between the Corsairs and the Hessians raging on, the Corsairs have claimed the system with their new Leon Base and are using the volatile system to stage attacks on Hessian holdings throughout the Omega Systems. There are jumpholes to six different systems.

The system is plagued by unlawfuls, as there is no police authorities, and because it is one of the fronts of the Corsair-Hessian war, only the most skilled pilots in the best ships are fielded there. As with most of the border and edge worlds, the system has no trade lanes, forcing pilots to fly long periods between jump holes in intense radiation.

Due to the large number of jumpholes in the system, and linking the Omega sector to Omicron space, Omega-41 acts as one of the most important crossroads in the Edge Worlds.
At some point during 817 A.S. the Neutron Star at the centre of the Omega-41 system entered a newly unstable phase and began emitting pulses of visible-wavelength radiation. Though no cataclysm has occcured thus far, inhabitants of the system are very concerned about the possible threat destabilisation of the celestial body could cause.
The Zoners founded Freeport 5 in the system, and more recently, with the war between the Corsairs and the Hessians raging on, the Corsairs have claimed the system with their new Leon base and are using the volatile system to stage attacks on Hessian holdings throughout the Omega Systems. Most information is kept secret from the outside to maintain secrecy of Puerto Rico and it's inhabitants. Little is known of what goes on at the junker bases within Puerto Rico. Rumors spread that the Junkers concentrate their funds there. Building new ship models and developing new weapon prototypes. This can be backed up by the colossal Junker Salvager seen drifting through our Debris fields recently. A ship too massive to be built at your average junker depot.

::Some Neutron Stars are known to exist in Sirus, with one located in Puerto Rico, an X-ray Pulsar Located in Tau-65, one at the center of Omega-41 and one recently created during the Omega-58 Incident.
A black hole is a theoretical entity predicted by the equations of general relativity. A black hole is formed when a star of sufficient mass undergoes gravitational collapse, with most or all of its mass compressed into a sufficiently small area of space, causing infinite spacetime curvature at that point (a singularity). Such a massive spacetime curvature allows nothing, not even light, to escape from the event horizon or border.

Only one black hole is present in Sirius, located in Omicron-85. If the star has a low mass for a black hole, they can become Neutron Stars. Several theories have been made on the stars of Omega-11 and New Berlin, if they would become black holes or neutron stars, or if they will just collapse forming a black object.

Getting close to the event horizon will result in nearly instant death.

::Some Neutron Stars are known to exist in Sirus, with one located in Puerto Rico, an X-ray Pulsar Located in Tau-65, one at the center of Omega-41 and one recently created during the Omega-58 Incident. Civilian vessels not equipped for deep space exploration are advised to use strong caution, as Neutron Stars emit massive amounts of ionizing radiation.

Getting close to a Neutron Star is extremely dangerous, as the powerful magnetic field and gravity well can rip even the toughest ships apart.
