Johnson is a recently-repressurized supply platform, orbiting the mysterious Planet Lesbos in the incredibly remote Omicron Omega system. Cryer Pharmaceuticals was granted permission to administrate a station in the heart of Corsair territory, and chose this location to avoid controversy or other ramifications of it being within or adjacent to contested space. Cryer is not too worried about the station becoming public knowledge, though, as its primary mission here is purely humanitarian. That said, Johnson's role is multi-purpose, being more than just a depot for medicinal goods. Resident Scientists are studying the planet's ruins from afar, in addition to other peculiarities of the system.

Originally planned to be finished by 824 A.S., the Cryer Board of Directors for the longest time was uncertain as to where to construct Johnson Supply Depot. Ultimately, to be worth the cost of maintenance, Johnson would need to be constructed in a place where it would be able to fulfill a role that was not already being fulfilled by Atka Research Station in Sigma-17 but would share the same benefits of seclusion.

Corporate leaders are eager to see their relationship with the Corsair Empire improve with this, as a people in need can potentially be a great source of income. If the venture goes well, funds are ready to be allocated for expansion of the base to include food storage bays, as well as waystation facilities for other foreigners more trusting of Cryer employees than the Corsairs. Potential Stabiline production plants have also been considered as a fallback, in the case of Atka becoming compromised.
+
Recently completed, Johnson Supply Depot serves as a sequestered hive of activity less for research but more for the acquisition of materials that the Houses would deem illegal or dangerous, judging by the lack of visible scientific staff. Curiously enough, both the Corsairs and the Core seem to be leaving the station alone, despite knowing about it, giving credence to the theory that Cryer either is sparing no costs in incentivizing both Crete and the Core to leave them alone or that Cryer has separate deals of natures different than money with both that allows them to operate unimpededly. Given this fact, however, Johnson's position is a quite secure one, at least for the time being.

It is worth noting that this station was not wholly constructed by Cryer, instead built off the remnants of an old derelict that was leased to the Pharmaceutical giant by an unusually amicable Council of Elders. The prior inhabitants were, according to local historians, apparently an offshoot of Freeport 5's Crew that grew tired of living what one witty researcher called a "half-life." Here, they sought a different home, even more remote than the gamma-saturated Freeport. It is assumed that the dereliction was caused by an onboard accident which ruptured the hull, either killing or displacing the whole crew, but little information exists to support that.
