As the topic says, I'm getting a lag or sometimes even a screen freeze for a sec or two if I get a new scanner contact. This includes not only NPCs but as well other players. While it's not an issue in the regular gameplay, it just turned out very ugly when fighting a pair of bombers.
Issue is rather new. Probably for one or two months now.
No changes in the system setup in that time. Has the game itself become more power-hungry? Anyone else having that issues?
My system for reference:
Q6600 4x2.4 GHz
4 GB RAM (running under XP, so only 3.3)
Nvidia GForce 8800 GTX 768 MB

Usually I get a couple of those, normally after I've started the game recently, I assume its just a little 0.3 second lag spike caused by the models and textures for the new contacts ships being loaded. Thats what I assume anyway.
