I've been falling in love with this game since I bought it a few months ago. Mainly because, it revolves around vehicles. Infantry are the baseline, but with vehicles Airplanes usually only lose against AA guns or machine gun spam. Tank usually lose if there is alot of infantry with AT weapons, or if there is a skilled airplane pilot, or if there is enemy tanks around. Jeeps are usually just used to get around or to run people over, and are easily destroyed by explosives. Anyone else got good/bad things to say about this game?
I know of 1942, my friends and I used to play it in local net cafe some six years ago... lot of shouting, swearing, and in the end, having fun! Me and another friend were very proficient with aircraft, so there were some funny moments like:
Base defence: "Oh, they stole our flag!"
Me: "Ok, I'm on it"
5 seconds pass
-Flag returned-
Now, as there was only 12 of us, we used to play Wake Island Capture the flag! That, and if you like that type of games, I'd like to point you also to Command and Conquer: Renegade, and it's remake in Unreal engine (I think) Renegade-X

No, talking about 1943. Sadly right now the servers are horrible, 2/3 for me have HORRID lag. But considering I paid ten USD cause it was on sale, it's an overall great game. Right now for Xbox 360 it's in the Arcade section, not available through a disc. And what maps were available in 1942?
But the thing that put me off Battlefield 1943 was the fact you can't purchase it from the store.
Well...It used to be like that. I just looked on the website and it dosn't even seem to be on PC.
"Three o'clock is always too late or too early for anything you want to do."
Well, I see now on the wikipedia taht 1943 is on Pacific mostly... in 1942 you had Wake island, Midway, El Alamein, Operation Market Garden, the Battle of Britain, Palermo I think, and generally running all over the planet waging war!
BF 1943 surely is lovely, one of the best download games ever made.
Keep in mind to try other BF series aswell, if you like 1943 you'll surely like the others too!;)
Roses are red, violets are blue, when Poisonous Snake strikes you'll say; ''Adieu''
Of course, I have bad company as well, which is just as fun, but since i really love the airplane fights, I miss out a bit in bad company. And the helicopters are just flying targets IMO
Yeah, if they got battlefield 1943's servers stable( at least for xbox 360) it would be number one or two in the arcade section, right now it's holding around 6th, and i'm guessing because of the server quality. At least bad company has a much more lag-free way to play. And more classes...
