Those that don't want the spam, leave them.
Then they still get the relevant info in the Main chat.
All you need is Chat moderators that do their job.
Honestly, I think that Skype might be one of the worst things that happened to me when it comes to Disco. I think that if I did not have skype, I wouldn't have raged so many times and left the number of times I did. But, now that I've got skype, and I use it for other things than disco, there's no point in getting rid of it. Plus, I've met my share of terrific people through it.
So, now, I take an entirely different view towards the situation:
If I don't need to talk to you daily, you're not on my contacts list. I'm not in a single official faction's chat, despite being in at least two.
Why?
Because I don't give a flying **** about the battle group that's hovering over the planet or 10k from the base.
Call me anti-social, but I don't have the time or energy to talk to 50 people over 5 different chats, and neither does my connection.

' Wrote:So? Most of the problems don't come from the sudden influx of messages. If it's that much of a problem for people, they can leave their Skype on.
You assume that people can, or want to leave their computers on.
Why even bother having messages you don't want?
It's called organisation on the Faction lead's part.
