Quote:Go to Device Manager and select your display card. Bring up the Properties and select the Details tab. You should be on Device Instance Id and see something like PCI\VEN_VVVV&DEV_DDDD... VVVV represents the vendor code (probably 10DE for NVidia) and DDDD is the device code (0322 for my GeForce FX5200). Open EXE\flconfigdatabase.txt and do a search for GeForce. Insert your device code into the list: 0xDDDD = "GeForce G210".
Now, these instructions from LancersReactor are for Windows XP and a different graphics card, but I assume it would be a simple matter to transcribe them to Win7 and your specific graphics card. I'd do this myself, but, 1: I haven't figured how Win7 works yet and, 2: I'm feeling rather lazy at the moment. In any case, I hope this is at least somewhat helpful to you.
Okay, bit techy here, but here's how to get Freelancer to recognize cards it doesn't know yet.
First, right click "my computer" and "manage"
Click "Device manager"
Click "Display Adapters"
Rightclick your GeForce and select Properties
Click "Details" and set the Property box to "Hardware IDs"
You should see a line along the lines of "PCI\VEN_0123&DEV_90AB", with some additional info. We only need the Ven and Dev numbers. Jot them down.
Now, go into your Freelancer game folder, then into the "EXE" subfolder.
Open the file "flconfigdatabase.txt" in a text editor.
Normally, you would do a search for the 4-digit hexadecimal value you have for VEN in that file. But in your case, look for where the GeForce items are declared. Scroll down to the bottom, where the last GeForce model is declared, and duplicate the last line, changing the new line to your own DEV ID.
In short, look for the line:
Code:
0x0398 = "GeForce Go7600 (??)" // added by Louva-Deus
Change this to
Code:
0x90AB = "GeForce GT Work Dammit" // Personal addition
0x0398 = "GeForce Go7600 (??)" // added by Louva-Deus
Replace 90AB with your own DEV ID and you should be fine.

I'm probably going to need to do with with my GTS 460.
It works fine with my GTX 260M though.
Hardware is wierd.
