Hola Corsairs and friends of Corsairs, this is another news report from Radio Free Cadiz, I am Miquel Fernandez, and you're listening to Cadiz Flash News - bringing you live feed of Omegas.
The local struggles between OPG and RHA remain active and we see more wrecks on the borderline every day. Our guys are confident in winning, but the source close to hessians informed us that Hessians stumbled upon an object known as Nomad Power Cell. It is known that OPG has one of these already so the evil gossip has already started. Does this mean a change of tide in war for omega 5? Perhaps, perhaps not.
B U T
Tonight's story isn't about the war, or the recent highest in a while bounty on OPG pirate transport Mentira, it is about the fascinating discovery and possibly the new frontier discovered by the members of who else than OPG.
While they didn't want to name the system, they have provided us with few screenshots from inside their ship, and the trio even agreed on the interview after being *cough* gifted with a keg of rum each.
Andre! Roll it. One of many shots OPG mentira submitted. One of many shots OPG mentira submitted - 2.
*recording sound, noises in the back* [Miguel]: Greetings hermanos, good to have you aboard.
[Asno]: It is good to be back after another hard day out there. [Miguel]: Now as I understand, you are the leader of the trio that found this object?
[Ivan, cutting in]: Yes, he lead the formation when Raiden picked up an strange static signal nearby. His comm went beserk and we decided to trace the signal using our long range scanners. After bit of wandering in the dark, we finally foun..
[Raiden, cutting in]: He's full of ****, we were drunk and stumbled upon the frikkin thing.
[laugh]
[Ivan]: yeah, thats actually true. It was really pretty though, and I hoped it's not just illusion from that crappy Atka weed we raided week ago. But it was real, and the screens are there to back it up. [Miquel]: so, since location is restricted knowledge, what will you actually do about it? Will the Corsair scientist have a chance to look at it and explore what does it do?
[Asno]: actually, we don't really know yet, but we will keep you posted.
[Raiden]: yeah, thats all you get for the keg of rum.
[Ivan]: Our patrol is starting soon, we should head out anyway. [Miquel]: ofcourse, ofcourse. Well, much luck to our hermanos in space and those defending the bases as well. Now we ask you our hermanos, what do you think this object is? Shoot up, give us your feedback, make us think or make us laugh. Or maybe even make us sad?
This has been Radio Free Cadiz, from now on, transmitting once a week.
Adios!
//this is made for pure Corsair and OPG fun. There's no intention of harming anyones feelings. We know there are some emotional souls out there but we would like to use this chance to ask them politely not to ruin our fun. Thanks, you're the best ;)

From the data you've provided, it looks quite similar to an anomaly that was found in the badlands of the new york system quite some time ago. We still arent sure what this anomaly is - it appears to be an exceptionally small form of pulsar or quasar; objects in space which emit massive amounts of energy in the form of photons (light particles). These entities are believed to be related to black holes and jump holes, though no proof of this has been found.
It is known, however, that such anomalies are highly dangerous. Though their field of effect is quite small - only a few dozen meters - any ship approaching within that distance is likely to be incinerated by the bombardment of energy from the object.
The anomaly in new york is unusual in that it is close to the core of Sirius. Most of these are found far out in the borderworlds on the edges of known space, which could have some relation to their purpose or origin.
We continue research on these galactic mysteries, further data will be forwarded when it is collected.

// Actually, other than that similarity I have no clue what these things are. The one in the badlands played a part in the single player campaign - you saw it while docked on the research station in the badlands when being pursued by the liberty navy.
// Having taken a particular interest in space exploration, I'm in the process of converting from an ally of the junkers to a zoner - in light of which I've started to study such things in the interest of expanding our knowledge of sirius. If any further anomalies are found, please let me know.
[Miquel]: My oh my, it seems Cadiz has listeners and supporters all the way up to Freeport 2. How's the weather there fellas? We'll transfer the news to OPG about another of these around the space, who knows what things are going in this still not even half explored world. Who can blame em explorers with the Wild and Nomads just flying around the uncharted places. Anyway, lets move on, another listener? Yes, speak up!
//actually, i have a pretty strong and good guess over what these are, but I'ld like if people could refrain from the ooc posts containing spoilers about this "anomaly", or RP posts if their character has no possible way of knowing what this exactly is. Other RP is strongly encouraged as well as wild guesses! If you want to discuss it with me oorp, pm me, i'll gladly share my view.

I backtracked my ship to new york to perform more extensive research on the anomaly located in the badlands. Uploading image files:
This object differs slightly from what was seen by your OPG pilots, but bears many resemblances.
Further study on the anomaly discovered that it is harmless, even at extremely close distances, to ship hulls that are sufficiently reinforced. We encountered massive photon bombardment of our hull, but it had little real effect on structural integrity.
There does appear to be some sort of dense object at the center of the anomaly, invisible to the eye and to sensors through the massive amounts of light and radiation emitted from it. We were able to discover this through collision testing - unsafe method to be sure, but it produced results.
For a brief period of time - totalling only ten seconds, we became 'stuck' inside the object; perhaps as a result of massive gravitational forces being generated. Our cruise engines were able to eventually pull us out of the anomaly, and results were reported to our current location at Willard Research Station.

The Tripoli shipyard was attacked tonight by the ROS clan but were quickly repelled with minor losses to the Corsair side. Main defense was lead by the OPG lord Asno piloting his Muleo Titan. More details after tonight's main event. La Carambola. Movie about the Crete life in the uprising.
It seems our boys have done it again. As we already said, upon hearing the word of omicron Gamma being invaded by the ROS dogs, corsairs quickly manned up and came to defense of Tripoli shipyard. The shipyard itself looked bad upon arrival say some members, but under the guidance of the three big ones, the Benitez, TBH and OPG the ROS quickly fell down to their knees. There were losses on corsair sides too, one of Benitez family, Chico fell down shortly after the fall of the Cruiser that flies under the commander Mira. Cruiser was unfortunately immobile near all the wrecks and the metal outside Tripoli, and now has joined the entire wreck collection that lies outside of it.
Corsairs will salvage the remaining items, and junkers will be called to take care of rest, including any cardamine infection - said the Corsair authorities after the entire incident cooled down.
That about rounds up that story.
In another news, the bounty hunters and mercenaries are becoming more and more bolder. Just as we asked ourself is OPG asleep from all the Rum they loot, the answer came today. The math of the day. Two enemies walked in Gamma, both of them died. The second one, unfortunately caught up one of our Titans but we heard that pilot is safe on Crete awaiting for his transfer back to Cadiz.
Although hessian actions are raging every day, today the OPG took the fight directly to their homeland in omega54. Taking down one of theirs, the OPG pursued them all the way to their bases, when OPG had to retreat after a loss of their bomber. After tractoring him in, the OPG made a safe retreat to their bases in omega 41 and omega 5.
After all the events today, we can say that the life of the Corsair fighter pilot is sure a demanding and exhausting one. Perhaps the new Luxury liner that has been making runs trough Omega space will be able to take care of our pilots on relief. It has rumored that the Pleasure Liner Veles has also been seen dealing with weapons, and not just those nomad ones that we openly despise here on Cadiz, but the so called "coded" weapons with enormous firepower. Worth to take a look, huh Zoners? Bah, who knows do they even hear me.
Trading tip of tonight's show comes from our official Omega Trade Corporation:
The Cambridge sells many valuable commodities that, if taken trough right omegas end up filling pockets of omega's much needed traders. And we all know what Cambridge needs and cannot get easily. Alien organisms.
That is all for tonight dear listeners.
You've heard all we have to say on this side of Sirius. Call in, send transmissions, share with us what are the issues on YOUR side.
Miquel out. *sigh*
**transmission ends, comms open for communication**
Greetings, everyone. we are Unit GJ, but you can call us Toaster if you like. We and the rest of U.R.S.A. (Unofficial Research Squad Alpha) have been investigating the anomalies in New York and Omega-3. Recently we received a transmission from an unknown system that appears to e the cause of these anomalies. As soon as sufficient funds can be procured to pay for an expedition, we will begin looking for it.
Firefly Tenacity, we would be honored if you would be willing to share research data with us.

Is this thing switched on Miguel? *TAP TAP TAP* OH! am I. They can hear me now? *Burp* HAR HAR HAR AMEEEEEEGOS this is Gentle the Warlord of the OPG. Raise the Jolly roger for Pirate radio and let the world hear of our glory. I would like to announce my newest marriage to the daughter of the great Manuel Picolo Hernandez. Julia is to be my 23rd wife and will be joiing the Harem of ladies at Crete. As always once I have performed my conjugal rites Julia will be performing her duties entertaining those of you who are without wives of your own at a very reasonable price. As you know all of my wives are vicious sadistic killers so dont try to cheat them of their due moneys and payments because I guarantee they will have the skin from your backs. *SMACK" OW! and she says that if you dont get a wash your not getting any so make sure you use the harems baths first *SMACK* No dear I havent forgotten to tell them how beautifull you are I was coming to that next. In honour of my newest wife joiing my family I have decreed that we name the beautfull anomaly that has recently been seen Julia's Star in that it is small, bright and incredibly powerull....Is that alright my sweet? Ok miguel im done ive got to go and take care of my wife now amigo........*Transmission is cut*
We'll let our fearless warlord to his lovely wives while we report yet another Outcast invasion to the Gamma, but as equally swift repelled as others were. Thanks to the three factions how are always in defend of the Corsair nations, and ofcourse to all those Corsair pilots who haven't found home among the factions yet. Nice job boys.
On the other hand, I'm happy to report that the investigations of the omega 55 and omega 58 have been completed by our fearless Corsair expeditions and both systems have proved to be extremely hostile and dangerous. The Wild are definatley the force to be reckoned with and lets just say *he he* that we're glad that the jump hole is closer to the Hessian base.
Oh, and for our Hessian listeners out there, and I know you're out there since I know you still didn't find a way to block this signal, and I really dobubt you'll be able to - here's a tip - lock the doors of that base tight and hope we don't come knocking.
On the totally lighter, better and green story, another thanks goes to Gentle and his Omega Pirates Guild who have scored us some good grown marijuana, probably from the Atka research station. We all know that Crete's homegrown is finest but hey, I really can't recall when did I see the seed of that last time.
Nevermind that all, it's time for some chillin music. Ride the waves of freedom together with some Salsa.
Miguel out.
Entire day spent trying to contact one of OPG or TBH representative for a statement has been unsuccessful until ten or fifteen minutes ago when OPG issued another statement for Miguel from Radio Free Cadiz.
We bring you the latest rumors, updates and wreck score from the Corsair space.
Apparently what happened today was a major standstill that moved everyone. How's that possible you ask? Well, we know that Corsairs always do things differently, and appears this was one of those rash decisions that had to be made to move things forward. Peace treaties have been signed and hatchets have been buried. That is all we have for now, but there are numerous rumors about Senate of the three standing back up on their strong legs with a new addition - The representatives of independent Corsair pilots.
This can only mean good things and prosperity for us Hermanos. Nothing is official yet, but it really does seem that Corsairs will be stronger than ever after this dead fall.
