I'm assuming you've tried scanning your hardware for anything that wasn't properly installed? Have you tried connecting directly rather than using the hub?
Have you tried deleting the profile of your computer (if its still on there) and plugging in?
Have you tried resetting to factory default drivers after the above and plugging in again?
Can you please tell us the model and make of the hub so I might be able to research this problem in further detail, and tell us any other details that might be relevant? I've had problems like this with the now defunct BT homehub...
