And just a note, to those wondering, I'd rather pay 3mil to 3 pirates than pay 6mil to him. If he had offered me his escort services like the previous one, I may have paid a smaller sum too. Else, it just doesn't make sense to pay him.
Allow me to give you the most simplistic and reasonably viable solution to these terrorist-like pirates.
Take a SS of their demand. Take an SS of you role-playing to lower the fees, or you role-playing the demand as too much for you to pay. Take an SS of your ship getting killed.
File a sanction for acting like a terrorist with a Pirate ID.
Edit: Two wrongs do not make a right though, avoid F1-ing.
Wait a minute....Silver your telling me you, with your cavernous Liberty Super Transport Mastodon....couldnt pay 6 million dollars and f1ed out of the game?
If you cant get 6 million a run or more for a 5k cargo hold you need to find a new route...Ill sell you mine for 50 milliion, it will net you 20+ million, for 3 stops, no out of the way systems, and the whole thing, if you do it right takes about 20-25 minutes round trip.
And if you arent stingy and dont whine, you tend to be left alone long term...Jinpo Rarely has pirate problems, because He's not a stingy trader, if they ask 1 mil, offer 3-5 for safe passage thru their raids for the rest of the night...
First at all, as you have been told, never use F1, even if they are breaking the rules.
Second, why did you start this topic?
Thrid, you are the one who ask me for a trade route, and when I saw your Universal tag, I told you a good route for universal traders (because I have one) and you told me "lol, I just want money for something bigger, I can trade wherever I want" making a very clear point that you didn't want to stay in RP, so before yelling that someone is being OORP, look at yourself first. I hope you found a RP route to play.
Silver leaf sir, that route you are talking about is the route I told you, if its so I'm sorry:$
But such route is almost empty, I trade in high player hours (you know when there's about 170 or so) and almost never get pirated, nor my friend or every one I have told the route. However the few times i've been pirated in that route I try to RP to lower the fees.
Apart from that it is still unfair that they do such kind of "piracy" but there is no reason to F1, ther are infinitely more possibilities of being sanctioned for F1ing than for "triple pirating" or whatever you want to call it.
I'll give you another route if you want totally different if you want, and repeat I am sorry if that caused you trouble but I haev been trading there for weeks and never being pirated that way.
Just a curious, do you have the names of the pirates? PM me if you dont want to post them here.
I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sanction
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of SNACs shot at my face
But I've come through...
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Look, F1ing out of piracy is frowned upon, even if the pirate is a class-A moron. Just screenshot the guy and report him if he's breaking the rules.
First of all, I said I wouldn't do it again. Secondly, he was being totally unreasonable. If he had requested something more reasonable (OR EVEN IF HE WOULD LET ME NEGOTIATE) I would have just paid up for the third time. A bad day, but at least nothing stupid.
However, he was shooting, acting real impatient, and to be honest, I didn't know what exactly to do, was fuming mad and wanted to hop into my internet cable pop outta his screen and grab him and shake that baby till he grows up stupid. Acting like that I'm sure he's a kid or acts like one anyway.
However, next time I will try talking to the point of my ship being blown up than F1ing out since you people hate it that much.
Thank you and I'm sorry, but he should be more sorry than me.
And the bashing goes round and round. And people wonder why I gave up my pirates. Even a pirate of the same NPC affiliation doesn't have to honor a payment you made to another pirate, especially if they're not around. you could be lieing, they could not care, they could be only out for themselves, ect. Furthermore, a demand of 6million is not quite reasonable, but if you've run from that pirate before or made his friend mad or are being where you shouldn't be with a ship you shouldn't be in, all of those could make a pirate wish to take more money from you. They don't have to be reasonable, inRP, they have the guns.
