From what I've seen (namely in the /shield thread), people are interested in boarding, and I though about ways to make that a bit more possible. I came up with the /board command. This is what it would look like.
Player 1: Cut your engines and prepare to be boarded!
Player 2: Okay, powering down engines and shields.
Player 2: /board
Player 2 has de-activated their weapons (power core drain), shields, and engines,.
Player 1 moves next to Player 2
Player 1: /board
Player 1 has de-activated weapons, shields and engines.
-Roleplay occurs-
Player 2: Scuttle Player 1, we have the prisoners.
Player 1 was killed by a hostile vessel
Essentially, /board once to de-activate subsystems, /board again to bring them back up. Put some kind of timer between the first and second so that people can't re-activate and splash you while you're down. It'd be an interesting idea.

i like the idea... same thing were discussed in /shield thread... and a lot of people liked it...
it is not a senseless command... if you dock anywhere you have do lower your shields... of course the risk to get pewpew'd fast i higher
but if you drain power, shields and so on please reduce the range you can be seen on scanners of others... so they cannot find you to fast and pewpew you while shield are down...
deactivate weapons and engine too (docked / borded ships dont need to move) and deactivate weapons to be sure the "boarded" or "docked" ship cannot shoot you... or the other way around (so you cannot abuse the command)
I will use it alot cause i have to take prisoners every day (PrisonLiner-Maddox) and control ships flying through minor...

There is much sense in this command for both sides.
First the pirate can freely rp with the trader without spamming setmsg till trader spam cruise button and cms.
For the trader it is much better to be "boarded" by pirate when you decide to run instead to be killed like dog with 2 or 3 setmsgs because you try to run.
It will make sense for police to catch smugglers too.

ha... their problem if they dont...
of course not everybody will know the command when it is new... a lot of players dont know the /showinfo command.... but after some time... the most will know it...
I see lots of abuse from this
lolwut navy: halt cut ur engine!!!
RP;er: Okay?
RPer has de-activated their weapons (power core drain), shields, and engines..
lolwut navy: engaging smuggler
RPer has been put out of action by lolwut navy(gun)
This seems so open to abuse it's amazing. First, you have the "prepare for boarding we shoot". Second, you have to think about who would actually use this? From the looks of it, they would only use it if they have nothing to lose or who has enough money so that death isnt an issue to them. Third, you assume good faith, that they wont kill you. Point is, this gives a little too much power to the agressive side, Essentially, it's an "I Win" button.
Player 1 " Prepare boarding Lol"
Player 2" No"
Player 2 was put out of action by Player 1
With the alternative being:
Player 1 " Prepare boarding lol"
Player 2 /board
Player 1 " OKayez, I take ur toilet, PEWPEWPEW"
Player 2 was put out of action by Player 1
