The reason I posted this is after seeing the post on the main page about what still needs to be done for 4.86 and I can't help but wonder if there is simply too much to accomplish with a volunteer staff and, to use a metaphor, if .86 was a too big of a bite to chew.
I'm looking forward to getting the storyline moving the most as with well over a year of .85 things are getting a bit stale. So, why not have storyline updates a bit more frequently. For instance, between .85 and .86 we could have Gallia begin to move into Bretonia and the Taus, instead of just showing up overnight?

I agree there, but I have to wonder if changing the tags on bases is a rather easy or hard thing to do while modding.

But would it be possible to have each of these points released separately or do they have to come at once, is the crux of this thread. I don't mean from a laziness perspective, but from a logical perspective. If Gallia is indeed going to blob into Sirius with a simultaneous expansion then it would make sense.
What I'm wondering is what would happen if we updated Gallia first, then a month or two down the road they enter Tau-23, then a month or two later they enter Bretonia, yadda yadda? By reducing the scope of the workload into more manageable chunks you could, theoretically, release things faster by having the same amount of people work on smaller yet all equally important updates.
I'm not recommending this is what should be done, just wondering is all.
