I have been playing for acouple weeks, and with my xeno ship all set up, I'm ready to start playing, But i had afew questions.
The xeno tag doesn't allow you to demand cargo, But i see Xeno demand you drop pilots or that kind of stuff all the time. Is it legal to tell players to drop pilots/Cargo/Nano/shield bots stuff?
About killings... I was attacking a player, and he ran. He got away, then boom, The server crashed. According to the rules, If i attack a player and they run I think thats the same as dieing and they must leave for 4 hours or i leave first. The server crashed, and I managed to get on while few people were on, but he got on afew seconds/minutes before me. Does that engagement still count?
One more question about the death rule. If a player kills or makes me retreat, and I go to another system, like if i die in Texas and go to new york, and they also go to new york, do i also have to leave new york? What if I go to California and they follow me? Still leave California?
Just curious about afew things. Thanks in advance for the responses!
Fur your second question..Once server resets. Death resets...leasts thats what I was told so he wouldnt be dead
3: Negative you died in Texas than you cant go in texas if you die elsewhere you cant go there...just try to stay away from the guy that killed ya though
EDIT: As for question 1 i dont know ive never been a xeno
I think the Xeno Alliance got special permission for that one.
As for the death rule, if you get pwnt, then ideally you'd switch characters, but you leave system and don't engage that player for four hours. You can return to the system you died in if they leave, and as soon as they shoot you again its like a brand new engagement.
Ma wont drapt da pilotes thate I gotta ima holdz, nor willz Eye with ma cargo or my mo'nies. Z'i wont stopz hatz tha sighte off yur starblazor:crazy:
No but, Xenos are terrorist, However they can ask other players to drop Xenos pilots, But I don't think they can ask for Money/cargo
when server reset after a death,,, Everything reset! even our Brains! So you can fight your enemy again, in this only case.
When you get killed you must stay away from your enemy for the next 4 hours, and if you need to come back where he killed you, you must wait for him to leave the system.
Wait, I thought that the point of the Xenos was to stop commerce in and out of the system.. how do they stop this if they can't demand cargo? D: Not credits, of course, but to ask someone to turn around instead? Or ask them to drop their goods? I dunno.
They can pretty much just open fire on traders to stop commerce from what I've seen and told was 'legal'. Actually Ryan has done this and really he hasnt been out of line with it that I've seen.
I think he approaches it well by saying "STOP" and if you don't comply then you pretty much can and will get wasted. Even if you did stop and blew you up (which was the case) he could tip the scales with a phychos demands and pretty much invent the situation as it happens... since they have that right. So they don't have the right to pirate directly but theres nothing I can find that would stop them from blowing a trader up and taking as much of the cargo as they can? It is a good question, but I think the answer is obvious.
Only thing that really bothers me about the Xeno faction, and I'm not saying Ryan is an example cause I honestly don't know outside of his proper ship, tag and id, is the fact that they are supposed to be very strapped for resources and information. They are only allowed to fly certain ships that would be 'weaker', but a couple I've met are armed to the teeth with Spikers and guns only found in distant systems that would not even really sell out thier faction. As my Outcast comes up Red and hostile to certain planets and factions, I would think a Xeno would have that situation *everywhere* they went making travel and landing on places very hard. I realize anyone can have a trader and supply thier alternate characters funding and you can't let everyone else do it and say Xenos cant, however thats a grey area I'm not comfortable with. I think any weapon dealer that sells these things to a Xeno would need thier head examined, but I'm going to say chances are that certain Xeno ships are getting quite a donation from from 'familar' parties or deciding they are a terrorist when things line up best. Point being, if you have the right to make life hard for everyone, you should have a hard life. Kudos to anyone who plays that faction from start to finish as it should be played. I'm guessing that number is few.

Did I tell you to stop and kill you? Whats your name? I don't remember doing this and try to not do this, mabye I was just mad at the time or something or didn't see you stop in time? Sorry. Ill try not to do it again.
Lets just say we had quite an argument which I was the wrong person for here. Not you. You are doing a fine job. Keep it up.
Just remember that long craft turning towards you (even after you said stop) doesnt mean they are trying to nessicarily get away from you. If there is any question load them up with CDs and force them to stop. If they keep enguaging cruisers, then they arent sticking around. Most people here WANT to roleplay with you. Not just have some kinda PVP war with no purpose. The last thing any decent player wants around here is to just get blown up and have no interaction with it (aside from lets say Outcast v/s Corsair where its pretty much known you are KOS). You did try with me (my trader) and that was appreciated. Just a bit quick on the triggers;)
Typically dry 'Stop' and opening fire situations just don't mesh well with a lot of people I'm finding even when the situation is called for it even though its considered 'acceptable'.Xenos are declared KoS to everyone, but ... its a grey area and a lot of people have different opinons. Just giving mine basically and trying to let you know how people wouldnt get bent out of the frame for it.
(also at the time I was being simultainously robbed by a pirate and RPing with them in whispers.. so yeah)

Hmm... well, there's this, but I don't know how Xeno ID differs from generic Terrorist.
' Wrote:6.18 Owners of Terrorist IDs have a right to attack:
- Trader ships that do not pay for passage
- Everyone else
6.19 Pirates and terrorists have a right to deal as much damage as they see fit before or after demanding money from a trader ship, but killing trader ship before demanding money or cargo is not allowed. Attacking traders or demanding cargo is not allowed for cruisers and battleships, unless cruisers and battleship belong to Terrorist ID or Phantom ID owner.
Oh, and a small side note, it says that terrorists can attack traders who do not pay for passage, but everyone else includes traders who pay for passage. Weird, or what?
I play as XA-Datrian.Perrone and this is what I've been told about traders (I'm still fairly new). When encountering a trader importing/exporting you must ALWAYS ask them to drop their cargo first. You may NOT ask for money however under any circumstances. I would suggest talking to one of the other members that has been around for a while to get the full scoop on it, but there's the quick and dirty version.
Edit: I'm not sure if this rule applies to independent Xenos or not, you may want to talk to an admin about that one...
