we've had a nice little BPA OPG spat that could have escalated to few new trade embargos or new shifts of power but it all cooled off since I was injured and away from computer. I'm all for rped organized actions but what can you do when half of situations I encounter are like this: "molly in omega 5 claiming he's doing corsair missions to get a corsair rank" "police tagged traders with junker ids" "police tagged traders that refuse to rp and end up getting shot".
It kinda demotivates me later on
1)Civilian war between the army and the police of a house, which would be visible everywhere and allow a normal RP for "civilians" RPer.
(try not to target New-York, 'cause that's where newbie come from, and if I was starting playing this game, blasted into an event, the first thing I would do is disconnect).
2)Improve the war for Taus systems by putting more NPCs and bases in ALL systems around (for example, a bretonian cruiser in kyushu, far from tradelanes). Because, recently, the only system where we can see NPCs fighting is Dundee, a WELL-used system...
I'm neutral with almost any of my characters, but mercs are no neutral for a long, if you see what I mean...
OK for gentle RP, OK for gentle PvP too. What do you prefer ?
Hurk hurk hurk...

Well here's a thought...
If they're up for changing the mod to put more active NPC's in the tau systems for the bretonia/kusari conflict, go a little further...
-Make smuggling routes for moving ship parts and arms to either side from conflict ground (aka planets/stations caught in the middle of the war). This allows traders and smugglers not affiliated with the war to make some profit - but also gives them an element of danger in being caught by the side they -arent- helping.
-Add in wrecked/derelict capships and fighters from both sides, floating in debris fields or open space. In addition, put junker and hogosha npcs out there salvaging these wrecked ships. Not only does this give us something to do around the action, but also gives us a reason to fight... hogosha vs junkers over salvaging rights to the derelict military ships. (I know, i keep pushing the point of junkers getting into this war, but they're my faction and it'd be nice to do something interesting for once =)
-Do SOMETHING to make the area more appealing to players, particularly kusari and bretonian players. Any change to the mod is going to have little effect if we cant get people to participate. A few ideas:
1. Give more reward for killing NPC gunboats/destroyers/cruisers. Have them drop more cash (credit cards) when killed.
2. Put some high-yield (but difficult) missions for both sides, and the nuetrals, in the tau areas. Kusari vs bretonia missions (and the opposite), and some junker vs hogosha missions from new junker/hogosha space stations around the debris feilds and derelict ships.
Adding junkers and hogosha in there does more than just get us into the conflict as well... It gets other nuetrals in. Bounty hunters would likely be getting work to take out either side, same with mercs. Junkers have been wanting into kusari for a long time and have been held back by hogosha, this would finally be their chance to attack and change that.
And of course, until the admins/developers feel that the war has gone on long enough, it can remain 'static' with little effect. NPC fleets can be respawned just fine, keeping the war alive (hopefully).

The problem with the Kusari/Bretonia war is that nobody is actually willing. All the noobs (sorry, but its the only suiting word) that keep flooding the server are all about, "LOL!" when a Harvester says, "Does not compute." ~at an SA saying, "What is thy business here?"
I try really hard to make any situation into RP. Like when somebody said, "Lol," I said, "I've always wondered what that means. Is it pronounced 'el oh el' or loll as in roll?"
Some idiot proceeded to say, "I prounounce it loll as in roll."
"What does it mean?" Said I.
"Laugh out loud." Screw you! That's what I was thinking at the time. All these new people... 1 in 15 actually become involved (See Pim... Hi, Pim!), the rest stay for a few days, maybe a few weeks then just leave. Really, our communal population is staying the same, so its only the same people who join in wars or factions, get bored, then move on with their other chars. Everybody knows everybody, and its gonna play out just the same as the [W] (RIP) and the QCO (Sorry, I myself lost interest... *cough*), though the QCO have been slightly more active of late.
Kusari vs Bretonia war has one small problem.... NO PEOPLE
not even independents seem to be interested at all!!!!!!
Don't know if it's such a good idea for them to be.... but anyway... I haven't seen a single BAF ship in Kusari or Taus other than official factions ... EVER...same the other way. And the official factions don't have enough people and/or are not really active in this..
EDIT: But you know what's the point of me on my KNF attacking Leeds.. when I can stay there for 3 hours kill 10 Battleships.. and nobody ever comes to fight me... except some brave policemen in Hussars maybe..;)
During that same time 20 pirates are pirating in New Tokyo/Honshu...

Also
KNF currently leads some 10vs1 in the scheduled battles.
In unscheduled ones it's almost equal in score but still.... Bretonia is just about defeated.....
