+1 to what Saronsen and Spazzy said.
TZ bad, missiles bad, no blue - bad... We can aswell return to times when engaging cruise engine in a fight was considered pvp death.
It seems that every now and then whenever somebody is mad that they didn't get a blue a thread appears that tries to denounce everything that helped to avoid the blue. Be it missiles, suicide (deliberate or not), the list seems to go on.
Even though bounty hunters have an issue with that, they should realise that you can't have your reward every time. Trying to paint inRP and ooRP as inseperable in this regard is not going to help anyone either. You'll have a lot less problems if you accept both as two different things and if you don't interpret the slightest annoyances as means of the other player to troll you. Thinking that everyone and their mother just wants to annoy you with their actions borders on paranoia.
What is going to be demanded next, sanction for docking in a fight, sanction for fighting with number advantage, restrict ammo/equipment share? We might as well delete everything but Connecticut and its unwritten rules and rename the server to "Discovery PvP 24/7".
Well really you are kidding yourself if you think missiles are not a problem as they are right now. or that the problem has gone away just because too many people have stuck their heads in the sand about it.
Well, I guess it goes to pvp ballance and if no one trusts me I can as well demonstrate to you how a ship with no b/b can fly 30k or more without getting killed.

One is rarely not different from the other(ego/blue and bountyhunting)

I'd call it straight-up trolling.
So you'll rather have your victim being trolled with dirty (in the lack of a better word for it) messages because your ego is not polished, once more?
You think is difficult playing a bounty hunter if one of your targets planet dive? How do you think your victims feels when after 1minute of creating a character a bounty hunter arrives and say they have a bounty on their heads(blanket bounties) and they get killed for it? Yup,that's what i call trolling too
(12-11-2014, 05:43 PM)Haste Wrote: Also, people, can we please not fool ourselves here with silly claims of inRP reasoning behind planetdiving. The reason people do it is to spite/annoy the player behind the opponent's character.
Let's not fool ourselves into thinking otherwise, everything we do to one another leads up to annoy the player and not the character, even if some may not intent to,there's still plenty who do so!!
People want to believe that God has a plan for them.
They don't wanna believe that anyone else does..
Sanctions for suicides? Aha. No. No I don't think so. That'd just be stupid. No. You didn't get a Blue, get over it. Public shame/sanctionlancer isn't the way to go. You'll probably be over it within two weeks tops.
Instead of loling around you'd be of more use to give some opinions. Maybe sanctioning wasn't a great idea, but the fact remains - people whos RP or gameplay depends on blue with their name at the end are suffering from retards who denny it to them just because it's so easy.
