I think those involved (faction members, former admins, those closely connected to admins, possible admins) should have just openly said they just want to add another Xenos base. The general oorp opinion seems to be, let it be since they don't have a lot of bases. Problem is, they let players do it all, and the base should be fair game, like any other POB...right? Wrong, that base has a now ultimate meta-shield. The authorities who's job it would be to do something about it do nothing for oorp reasons and cross factional involvement. Not to mention I have never seen a base get away with the RP it does. It does seem very odd that the LSF/LN are busting a guts to get at the Junker bases in PR, whom they're not even actual enemies of, and won't go after an actual enemy installation unquestionably inside their own space. Claiming they don't know about it by this time is just ridiculous, and my question is, how far will the meta-shield extend? Where will a line be drawn?
This is pure baloney. Please see below.
I'm just going to put this as simply as I can. Please tell me how - inRP - anyone knows that Oyster Creek belongs to the Xenos. And please don't mention the Base Status page. The base has been identified in several reports as "belonging to Xenos" yet there is only one legitimate report that provides any smidgen of proof that that may actually be the case. Why hasn't that been acted upon, you ask in the memes above? I honestly don't know. My skype is depressingly quiet and I'm not buddies with any of the faction leaders or anything like that. I'm not panicing about the Navy Dread taskforce rocking up just yet, but have been watching the comms thread waiting for some fairly hard-to-answer questions to pop up.
I have not and never will ask for preferential treatment and wish people would stop pointing at me with their crybaby faces on when their own bases are under threat. The base got moved at core one due to a forum error months ago. I'm not hiding behind that. I'll assume that this cheap shot is the only one Junkers can afford at the moment with their expensive lawsuit ongoing.
I'd also like to point out there was plenty of forum RP around an inspection of the base, during which no ties to the Xenos were found (other than trace amounts of duct tape). For all intents and purposes, it's a Zoner installation, you just can't tell because I left no metagaming information for you, try reading the inRP forums. I'm not in some sort of meta-bubble like is made out above, in fact the meta comes from those who say "Destroy that Xeno base that I only know is Xeno cos I read |nfra's threads" when there is no actual inRP grounds to do it.
So I'll make it easy on you, person who knows who you are by repeatedly pointing the finger at my base. Build a case - a believable and above all else inRP case - against the Xeno base. But if I were you I would worry about my own problems first.
