While on my regular patrol yesterday on a look out for that thief Eniqma I was forced to take on a RM pilot in New Berlin. Cruiser Varyag happened to enter the system also and watched my back at some distance while I took on the fighter. After a brief struggle Karl Stahlmann was floating in space after a lucky shot.
After that brief engagement I was spotted and was accompanied by our Hessian Tear brother Theo Ranis. In Omega-5 I encountered a wanna-be Corsair in Praetyre playing a dangerous game. He was still transmitting civilian code so I ordered him to abort the mission and drop those Hessians he had in his hold. Then I escorted him to Cadiz and told him to re-think about the choice he was about to make.
After that little episode I changed to my beloved bomber Red Autumn and went to collect some donations for the future of the Rheinland. We settled in Stuttgart and regrettably had to take out a trader who tried to cruise away and then opened fire on us. He was dealt swiftly. On the long range scanner I spotted a friendly gun runner and hailed him in private comms. I wanted to buy two of wares for our Falcata bomber Schwalbe.
I flew to Vogtland to arrange a meet with the gun dealer when I got a distress call from Theo who was under an attack by a bounty hunter IDed Rheinland gunboat in his Odin. I immediately flew back to see that Theo was in no danger but nevertheless did not have firepower to bring the gunboat down. I engaged the gunboat who tried to flee after seeing the tables turned against him, but unluckily for him I had my train CD with me this time around. The fight ended in a brilliant flash of the gunboat pretty soon.
After this I made my rendezvous with the gun dealer and mounted guns I bought to Schwalbe. I advice to transfer the extra weapon in her hold to our armory before she is taken to any combat mission.
All in all. Patrol was a success, but there was no sign of that blasted thief or that cursed Wilde.
