there's the picture with some basic construction and guidelines drawn over the top. I even indicated where I think the ears should be. Although I prefer to draw the basic shapes for my heads as one single shape, rather than two. Gives the head a more natural shape, rather than the icecream-cone effect most people use... O>
Also, your linework in places like the hair is very clean, but your straighter lines on the jacket are very rough and you can clearly see the edges. Try making them look a little nicer maybe, and I dunno if it was intentional but the jawline looks a little wobbly on both sides. Try straighten it up.
And... I'm jealous of your colouring skills D:
Drawing and anatomy I can do... colouring and shading I cannot...
I think I drew the lines on the jacket too thin. I'm pretty sure I used 3 pixels rather than 5 *sigh* I'll have to go back and fix it.
You've gone above and beyond the call of duty here. Very cool.
Is the right ear better in this one? I moved it down slightly. I also fixed some of the outline's edges, including the cheek which was indeed messed up (too many joints in the path).
I need to go back and fix the shadows, and I want to have a better background as well...
Another thing is, the GMG patch should probably be on a dark circular cloth, not just embedded into the jacket color.
Right, and the smirk is a little steep.
Edit: There's only one ear in the picture... time for bed!
sorry about that then, your right, the shadows on the face are cool. And does his right ear look a little high to you? And the nose a little too low? (im addicted to staring at this pic now! eek!)
