Perhaps Gunboats should be split into two classes, Supremacy gunboats (designed to be effective at dealing with fighters and bombers), and Assault gunboats (designed to be effective at dealing with larger enemies)
Gunboat missiles now work very well against fighters/bombers. They have epic tracking, and are almost un-CMable. Heavy gunboat with 2 missiles is able to give hell to anything small.
And Cruiser missiles are able to hit bombers on long range :D I saw it happen a lot of times. And no, those bombers werent standing still.

Honestly I'd rather have swarms of gunboats than swarms of bombers. I can actually hit the gunboats.
You dont fly bomber alot do you?.. neither you fight bomber vs gunboat 1 vs 1. There is away to evese gunboat missiles , but only if the gunboat captain dont have a sense how to use em.
I think they are the same deadly as they were in 4.84.. but today you just need less cm's
Can I commence laughing yet? I soloed a Hathor with my Orchid in conn. Then the next battle I let them use missiles, and so they used them. A lot. Like, if I had CMs to begin with they would have been gone in 30 seconds. They did more damage to me without missiles than with them...
Missiles are a waste of energy... Just learn to aim Razors. Chainfiring basics seems to be effective as well.
