' Wrote:Just for an addendum, I would HIGHLY recommend searching for mods for Stalker. They'll unlock gear and equipment that was originally cut from the release-version of the game, as well as handle any bugs that weren't addressed in some of the patches.

Apologies. I wasn't aware of this.
Considering the decision, well, if you had to pick one of those two, I'd take Call of Pripyat.
But like I said earlier I wouldn't take either. I only pay for games with good replay value or an amazing multiplayer.
Neither. Get Shadow of Chernobyl, like 'Shazbot vs. Dragon Ninja' says. But instead of that unbalanced and buggy mod, try Lurk. Do you like stealth? No other mod provides a worthwhile stealth system (due to X-Ray engine restrictions) aside from Lurk. And it easily looks as good as Call of Pripyat (in my opinion), and plays much smoother. I still have yet to experience a crash with it. And that's with only a gig of RAM. Try that with any other mod, or even vanilla Stalker.
Yes. I am a fanboy. I can hate myself for it all I want, but still it remains. At least I don't sit in lines to buy a phone.
