Quote:"Whatever became of the moment when one first knew about death? There must have been one. A moment. In childhood. When it first occurred to you that you don't go on forever. Must have been shattering, stamped into one's memory. And yet, I can't remember it. It never occurred to me at all. We must be born with an intuition of mortality. Before we know the word for it. Before we know that there are words. Out we come, bloodied and squalling, with the knowledge that for all the points of the compass, there's only one direction, and time is its only measure."
Human will cannot change that, not for all our trying. And thus, whether or not we make our own choices, whether or not fate exists, whether or not God exists, for all the variables that exist in our lives, however long they may be, Death come at the end.
gone four years, first day back: Zoners still getting shot in Theta :|
Will means little when the concequences of the choices made by people around you have just as much, if not more effect on you than anything you could will on yourself.
You can will your own actions, but you cannot decide the choices others around you make.
If anyone disagrees, they can tell that to the guy who just got run over by a drunk driver last night. All the free will couldn't save him now.
