My longest-living character, Jeremy Hunter (who was alive like 3 years before disco) is a childish, loyal, stubborn, slightly naive, loving, all around ok guy as long as you dont piss him off. Which the Navy did. And so he did so back.
Oh, and he's insane about protecting his family. Insane like mobilizing-what-seems-like-half-of-Sirius to find someone.
His, twin Ellie: Kind, caring, flirty, bisexual summs it up.
His brother, Seth: Professional jackarse. Only nice to his current flame, indifferent to his crew.
Rika: she's 11, cant be any of the above except kind.
Alexis: the above's mom. All of the above's. Kind, dedicated, lax Navy Commander. All around ok. Can be a bit shy.
Zack Archer: Solid, impulsive. Cool-headed, but a slight temper.
Izzy: Above's sister. Gentle, loving, shy, but can be strong.
Tobias Storm: Laid back extrovert guy. Loves to joke.
Aqua: um, like, essentially another Izzy, with a shorter temper and the fact she'll probably castrate some guys just for snickering at her hair style (short hair dyed blue, hence the name Aqua).
Axel Thomas: awesome guy. Loves paintbsll n pizza. Can be quiet. But like to ne the laid back guy who'll make jokes in the middle of a firefight, unlike the others who wait, until after.
Well, that's my main characters. Rest are side ones for RP, but they got personaslities. Im.just too lazy to type em.
And as Blodo said, about evolving. Jeremy wvolved from just an Order pilot to what he is today; at first it was just Jeremy, short temperm fiercly loyal. Then, as he evolved away from disco, he evolved here until the current, day, into the char people troll n mock:P
Natsumi Hideyoshi (The Order) | Alexis Hunter (Liberty Navy) |
my character is Dominic Holt, a man who was born on a planet Cork which belong to Mollies and now ruined after nuclear disaster. Mature life he spent in dublin, most time hunting pirates from corsair empire. That was kinda good molly, loyal to miners, armed forces and gaians. Many times he was been seen in a company with non human life forms. After some point he left his life and gone traveling and exploring sirius, so now you can meet him in different places
He started out as merely a shadow. I created an Order character with the rank of Commander which flew a gunboat, and at the time the Order| were particularly restrictive, so I role-played around their restrictions. My commander took orders from another cell of The Order, and Original Cell, which had equivalent authority to The Order's. A character that was meant to be never named and whose identity would never be revealed.
Then I became part of The Order High Command, and instead of upgrading my Commander, which by this period had been promoted to Commodore and flew a cruiser, I made a new character called X, or more aptly named the previous shadow.
His extremely long name for instance formed when someone complained to Ophidian that my name for my character was too short. Needless to say, I hope whoever it was silenced by this evolution. This happened three days into my tenure as OHC.
Either way, X was always meant to be mysterious and powerful. He was used first as an RP device by another character to allow that character more in-RP freedom. Now, he is a name known reasonably well.
The events of Aki Kimura's defection after the Corsair Kangaroo-court-esque, Kaylee Staite incident involving TCG|, the TCG| themselves, formation of The Preservers, formation of the Wedjat, and so on, helped to build up his image.
What I am trying to say is that X was made the way he was in basic form a long time ago with very few details, and along the passage of time, I simply filled in the blanks based on his experiences for the most part. And that is how I think people do it. They start off with a baseline template, usually stereotypical, and build up.
I have only those 3 chars on my sig.
I started out with Hangman. A merc flying through whole Sirius ready to work for everyone who's willing to pay
at his conditions. He's unpredictable, yet has his own morale code. He blows up pretty much anything when the
payment is acceptable. But there's one exception: living cargo. Any transport carrying
VIPs, Tourists, Vacationers, Refugees or Slaves has nothing to worry about him.
Most contracts i do over PM or on the fly ingame. At the forums, well he mostly appears in channels which are
open to anyone and his longest RP is here.
And here's his infocard.
Next is Jaws, formerly known as Hickey. A common trader who dissappeared for some time and then returned
as a psycho with surgical implants and a big scar. Violent as he is, i use him only when i'm pretty angry and i
engage any NPC i see. I didn't used him quite a lot of time, so he ended up as a forumlancer char. This will
probably change in 4.86. Infocard
The third one is Lo Wang. Anyone who's familiar with that name knows already how he acts.
His build-up is based on a accident. I wanted to make a non-libertonian char and ended up in Kusari. And cuz
i suck at giving my characters names i gave him that one. Yeah i know it's a rip-off, but it fits for me.
Currently he owns a bar on Planet New Tokyo, the Tora Club. I don't know if i need Igiss's permission but
i decided that the Club's adress is Planet New Tokyo, Ginza District. I digged through the forums to found
something about New Tokyo's city layout or geography but didn't found anything, not even in the SP campaign
so i believe it's ok. Infocard
I didn't wrote any stories or bios for them cuz lack of time. But i plan to do it after 4.86's release.
[color=#FFFFFF]Well that's one of my main characters. I'm trying to build a believable personality not some superhero-type character. A normal human being that makes mistakes and sometimes falls...
Dane Summers ive written a lot about. He kinda is your average Joe of freelancer universe.
In a nut shell - he was born on Los Angeles, to a family of Ageira Execs - his parents were part of an "arranged marriage" to strengthen company relations - kind of a kusari practice, but it was done on the downlow.
Dane, since he was a kid, could never sleep. except with pills, and then as a teenager, with alcohol. He rebelled against his corporate rich family, wore tattered clothes, dropped outta school, got tattoo's, got drunk on the weekends, waking up on the beach in the morning, etc.
He joined the Liberty Navy to make some sign up money, and found out he could find a good nights sleep in space - something about constantly moving, or engines, etc. He became a mechanic and dropped when his tour was over - after that, he used his pay to buy a rhino and run cargo - finally happy to be able to sleep.
After that, it was running goods, trying to be an indie trader - being poor made him a smuggler, and being a crossroads in his life, he decided to finally cut ties with everything that held him back and became a free zoner.
now, he just cruises through space, content to live his life every single second, to make everything worth it. he plays a guitar, semi-well, and even sings.
he's kinda like a neo-space-hippy. he's also trying to educate people on the benefits of choosing a better life, free of violence and petty causes. My whole motivation for him was to make a soulful romantic spacer, who lives on the ragged frontier, with the solar wind in his hair, and a guitar in in his hands.
While I would normally tell you about my faction characters, I honestly cant say that they are my main characters, anymore.
The only character I spend significant time on, any more, is my Pirate - Simply named Mordecai, although the name shown ingame is that of his ship; the "Insert Crazy Laughter" (Insert.Crazy.Laughter, ingame).
He's a rather odd character. In his early days, he was a cutthroat, through and through, his only allegiance being to his best friend Trevor (RP'd by Ankh).
However, things have changed, now. He and Trevor set up a small, habitable base out in Pennsylvania, and ended up attracting a cavalcade of misfits and downtrodden people. This evolved, OORPly, into the Junk Pile RP project, to which I dedicate most of my time.
In any case, while Mordecai still pirates and smuggles, he has other concerns now, as well, which reveal a more compassionate, considerate side; he feels kinship with the people whom he and Trevor have taken in, and works hard to keep the group together. He's helped repair new bases, for the several times that the group has had to move, and sometimes acts as an envoy for the interests of the others.
It's really a very interesting character, and one I hope to keep going for a long, long while.
An interesting bio/story doesn't come by itself and in an instant. What I like to do is find a basis, a starting ground for my story and then develop it with random stuff that seem normal in my twisted mind.
[color=#FFFFFF]Impeccable logic...since when RP-ing and contributing to the what is supposed to be a "Role-playing Community" is considered attention whoring?
